Tucker fires warning shot on widespread censorship: Does Trump realize he won’t be reelected if it goes unchecked?

Fox News host Tucker Carlson warned Wednesday that unless President Donald Trump clamps down on the growing censorship of conservative voices by tech giants such as Google and Twitter, he won’t be reelected in 2020. Why? Because without conservative voices, nobody will know the truth anymore.

The “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host posited the ominous prediction while speaking with renowned attorney and RNC committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon about Google’s willingness to silence dissidents both here in the United States and abroad.

Listen to the discussion below:

There’s documented proof that Google has been jumping through hoops to cater to China’s Communist government, which seeks to tightly control what its citizens see and hear on the Internet.

Just this week Google banned ads for virtual private network products that target Chinese users. VPNs are frequently used to bypass the Chinese government’s censorship tools. Last year Google was busted building a special censored search engine just for China. While the project was allegedly cancelled after backlash, the evidence suggests it’s still ongoing.

Why is this relevant? Because the same thing appears to be happening here. Except instead of censoring Chinese citizens on behalf of the Chinese government, Google seems to be censoring conservative voices on behalf of the Democrat Party and its left-wing media allies.

“Google has been punishing conservatives and hounding them out and criticizing people who support anything conservative for a couple years, ever since the election actually,” Dhillon noted.

“And now that they are openly — and Facebook and Twitter as well, to a certain degree — openly banning and cracking down on conservative speech because they think it is ‘dangerous’ and they want to protect people from these conservative ideas, they are absolutely going to wield that in favor of Democratic candidates. We’ve already seen Google banning ads of the president on immigration.”

Everything she said was undeniably true. First, it’s a known fact that Google and its tech peers partner with the Southern Poverty Law Center, a left-wing propaganda outfit known for smearing anyone with a non-establishment voice as a bigot, racist, white supremacist, etc.

Last year the disreputable organization was forced to issue a nearly $3.5 million payment to Islamic reformist Maajid Nawaz for having smeared him as an “anti-Muslim extremist.” Later in the year the David Horowitz Freedom Center think tank lost its ability to accept donations via Mastercard and Visa because of false complaints from the SPLC accusing the center of being hateful. The group has also been accused of smearing Evangelical ministries.

Despite the organization’s history of shoddy judgments and dangerous left-wing bias, it continues to be relied upon as a valid source by not only the tech giants but the media as well.

Continuing his discussion with Dhillon on Wednesday, Carlson then asked the one million dollar question: “Do you think the president understands he will not be reelected in a free and fair election unless somebody gets a hold of this?

“I’m not sure the whole establishment understands that,” Dhillon replied. “I keep saying that and so do you. … I think we are in crisis mode. … If we allow this to continue, if we allow this to happen in 2020, it is game over for conservatives in this country and competition in our politics.”

Also true. In fact, internal Google documents obtained and reviewed by The Daily Caller show that after Trump’s election in 2016, employees of the tech giant “debated whether to bury conservative media outlets in the company’s search function.”

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

“Trump’s election in 2016 shocked many Google employees, who had been counting on Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton to win,” TDC reported last year. “Communications obtained by TheDCNF show that internal Google discussions went beyond expressing remorse over Clinton’s loss to actually discussing ways Google could prevent Trump from winning again.”

“This was an election of false equivalencies, and Google, sadly, had a hand in it,” Google engineer Scott Byer reportedly wrote in a Nov. 9, 2016 email, adding that legitimate conservative outlets such as The Daily Caller and Breitbart are “opinion blogs” that don’t deserve visibility in Google’s search engine.

This is the sort of potential censorship conservatives could face. While this censorship is admittedly only seen sparingly at the moment, it continues to grow in part because of the continual push by the left to silence any and all opposing voices, including that of Carlson.

At the moment he’s currently facing an advertiser boycott because of allegedly offensive remarks he made to a shock jock radio show host over a decade ago.

This boycott is being led by Media Matters, another left-wing propaganda outfit that’s reportedly linked to tech giants such as Google, Facebook and Twitter.

The root of all this censorship is, of course, radical, regressive leftism, which as many have long argued is simply Marxism without the steroids, i.e., Marxism without the full-on Communism. It’s basically the “before” version. For the “after” version, one need only look to China.

Or Venezuela:

Remember, censorship is just “a bump in the road” on the path to much, much worse:
