Fresh off of downplaying and excusing their own members’ glaring anti-Semitism, the Democrat Party appears to now be suggesting that pro-Israel, pro-Jewish Republicans are the real anti-Semites.
Recall that in response to Muslim congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s repeat anti-Semitism, last week House Democrats passed a vague, widely panned anti-hate resolution that barely mentioned anti-Semitism, that didn’t even mention Omar at all and that ultimately “meant absolutely nothing.”

Because the resolution meant nothing, 23 House Republicans voted against it on the basis that Democrats need to start from scratch and draft a real resolution — one that specifically condemns Omar.
Fast-forward to Saturday morning, when one of very same Democrats who voted in favor of a resolution that was so bad that even far-left CNN host Chris Cuomo criticized it turned around and accused the Republicans who voted against it of voting in favor of hate.
“[T]here are actually 23 Republicans who voted for hate or against opposition to hate. I simply fail to understand that. One went so far as to say that because it didn’t have an anti-white discrimination clause in it, he couldn’t support it,” Washington Rep. Denny Heck said on MSNBC (where else?).

There’s no record in the media of any Republican complaining about the resolution not condemning anti-white discrimination, which by the way is real. Just to be clear, the resolution also failed to condemn discrimination and hate against Christians and Trump supporters.
Included among those who were condemned in the bill were white supremacists, neo-Confederates, white nationalists, neo-Nazis and Ku Klux Klansmen. Neither Islamic terrorists nor the words “anti-Semite” or “anti-Semites” were included anywhere in the resolution.
But the most notable omission from the resolution was the name of the Democrat congresswoman whose anti-Semitic rhetoric inspired Congress to action.
The omission was so pronounced that even Lee Zeldin, a Republican congressman of Jewish faith, voted against the resolution. He explained why in during a speech on the House floor:

He reiterated this sentiment during a radio show interview Sunday.
“Instead of a resolution naming names and being singularly, emphatically, unequivocally condemning anti-Semitism … you had a resolution that kept getting diluted and watered down, filled with moral equivalency, which is dangerous,” he revealed during an appearance on billionaire businessman John Catsimatidis’s Sunday morning WNYM talk-radio show.
“If [Omar] was a Republican, this resolution would’ve been naming names, she’d be removed from the House Foreign Affairs Committee and we would be talking about anti-Semitism solely, singularly and forcefully,” he added.

He was telling the truth. After Iowa congressman Steve King made allegedly racist, “white supremacist” remarks two months ago (he claims his comments were taken out of context), Republicans didn’t hesitate a second to condemn him and strip him of all his committee assignments.
Yet as of Sunday, Omar still maintains a seat on the Foreign Affairs Committee. She likewise still hasn’t been formally condemned. If anything, far too many senior Democrats have outright defended her anti-Semitism on the grounds that her anti-Semitism isn’t “intended in an anti-Semitic way.”
It’s unclear what that even means …
It gets worse. On Friday one of the most notorious anti-Semites in America, Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour, revealed that she’d played a pivotal role in convincing congressional Democrats to water down their anti-hate resolution and not specifically condemn Omar.
Sarsour is a radical anti-Semite who once suggested that the vaginas of Brigitte Gabriel and Ayaan Hirsi Ali — two survivors of Islamic oppression who now fight for women’s rights in Muslim countries — should be ripped away.
She said that thanks to the support of those who’ve donated to the Women’s March, she and her peers were able to “mobilize progressive leaders across the country to sign on to a letter to organize a press conference in support of Ilhan Omar” and “call on the Democrat leadership to actually expand the language of the resolution to include condemning all forms of bigotry.”

This raises a question: How is it even humanly possible for the same Democrats who clearly associate with Sarsour’s ilk and who refuse to condemn Omar for her clear-cut anti-Semitism to turn around and accuse Republicans of being the hateful ones — the anti-Semites?
It seems like a feat that’s about as impossible as impeaching President Donald Trump. Yet just like in the case of the president, Democrats persist with it nevertheless. It’s stunning.
And FYI, Heck isn’t the only one peddling this narrative:
