Left-wing political commentator Van Jones drew intense backlash — much of it patently racist — from his fellow Democrats this week after he dared to praise Republicans for their successful efforts at reforming America’s criminal justice system to make it fairer for minorities.
According to the allegedly tolerant and racially enlightened elites of the Democrat Party, this praise makes him an “Uncle Tom” and “coon,” among other things:
You played yourself @VanJones68. Way to be the Uncle Tom conservatives need.

@VanJones68 YOU ARE A DISGRACE! YOUR WEAK AND LOOK LIKE A FOOL. AT LEAST YOUR NOT CRYING AGAIN ! THIS FOLKS IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY IS KNOWN AS A HOUSE NINJA?? AKA #COON ???♀️

@VanJones68 Your attendance at CPAC is disgraceful and proves you are a sellout! I am so ashamed I ever believed in you having any honor. They don’t care about justice reform, only making money off the backs of prisoners. If you trust them, you’re a sucker!!

Speaking Thursday at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, Jones, a political commentator for CNN, said Republicans deserve to pat themselves on the back for their incredible efforts at reforming a system that he’s long believed has been unfair to minorities.
“The conservative movement in this country, unfortunately from my point of view, is now the leader on this issue of reform,” he somewhat sarcastically lamented.
“You look at Mississippi, a rock-ribbed, total conservative former jailer is now the governor. Governor Bryan cut the prison population and crime at the same time. [Governor Nathan] Deal in Georgia cut the prison population and crime at the same time.”
“Republican governors are being tough on the dollar, tough on crime, and shrinking prison populations. … They’re stealing my issue!” he added, his point being that the Democrat Party, which hypocritically bills itself as champions of minorities, was supposed to have led on this issue.
“Take some dadgum credit for being smart! Take some dadgum credit for getting it right!”
Listen:
Central to Republicans’ success reforming America’s criminal justice system has been the First Step Act that the then-GOP-led Congress passed and President Donald Trump subsequently signed into law late last year, days before Democrats retook the House and began trying to ban cow farts.
The bill was crafted over the course of 2018 thanks to bipartisan discussions between Trump; his daughter, Ivanka; his step-son, Jared Kushner; and left-wing criminal justice reform activists such as socialite Kim Kardashian and her husband, rapper Kanye West.
Had these diverse sets of personalities not come together, the bill likely would have never been drafted, let alone signed and passed into law.
Like Jones correctly noted at CPAC on Thursday, “I’ve never seen a bird fly with only a left wing. I’ve never seen a bird fly with only a right wing.”
“The Republican Party and the conservative movement believes in the idea of liberty, which is limited government and respect for individual rights and dignity. And at our best [as liberals], we believe in the concept of justice — making sure that the little folks don’t get run over by the big folks.”
“We tell our kids liberty and justice for all because I’ve never seen a bird that can fly with only a left wing, not even in Berkeley. I’ve never seen a bird fly with only a left wing. I’ve never seen a bird fly only with a right wing, not even in Mississippi. We need each other.”
Listen:
For these wise words, Jones is now being decimated by the far-left media. In their increasingly radical worldview, there’s no such thing as negotiating with or praising the “racist enemy.”
The irony is that the only racism is that being touted by them.
“Van Jones Talks Fried Chicken to White Audience at CPAC,” reads a patently racist headline at the Seattle newspaper The Stranger.
“Van Jones Is Tap Dancing At CPAC And Twitter Is Destroying Him,” reads a repugnant headline at the urban news website NewsOne.
Meanwhile, the far-left denizens of Twitter have taken to admonishing Vones as an “Uncle Tom,” a “coon,” a “sellout” and a “traitor.”

Been saying it for sometime now. He has shown weakness and the willingness to sellout for years….I’m glad someone has finally called him out.

@VanJones68 Bird? Right wing. I would much more comfortable if a f@cking moron like you was a Republican. As Democrat you’re a traitor to the cause of social justice.

Honestly, what the hell is Van Jones endgame here? This is completely embarrassing and laughable on its face. https://t.co/mmzzPZLX7i

Man, Van Jones kind of sucks
— Parker Molloy (@ParkerMolloy) February 28, 2019
van jones is a cautionary tale about what a little fame and money can do to you. he does this kind of bs actively, nobody’s forcing or blackmailing him. he likes it. and its gross and disgusting.
— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 28, 2019
I mean, Van Jones has many redeeming qualities & is well-intentioned but right now there is an existential threat to our planet and those metaphorical birds and the ‘right wing’ is in denial about it and trying to thwart attempts to deal with it. There is no ‘bothsides’-ism here.

At this point, I think they kidnapped Kanye and Van Jones and took them to the Sunken Place at the same time.

Sadly, this is the true face of the contemporary Democrat Party. It’s a party that speaks voluminously of tolerance, kindness, empathy, compassion, understanding and love, but that rarely — if ever — practices what it preaches.
