During Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s contentious confirmation hearings last year, a deranged left-wing woman allegedly assaulted White House counselor Kellyanne Conway at Uncle Julio’s, a Mexican restaurant in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Bethesda.
“I was assaulted in a restaurant, and that person has to go to court soon,” she revealed in a recent interview for CNN host Dana Bash’s “Badass Women of Washington” series.
Listen to released snippets from the yet-unaired interview below:
She explained that she’d been standing next to her daughter and her daughter’s friends at dinner when an unhinged woman grabbed her from behind and began shaking her like a rag doll.
“I was standing next to my daughter and many of her friends at dinner and she was right here, right next to me,” she said. “And her friends were too. And somebody was grabbing me from behind, grabbed my arms and was shaking me to the point where I thought maybe somebody was hugging me, one of the other parents coming to pick up his or her daughter.”
“And then as I turned around it just felt weird, it felt like that’s a little aggressive. I turned around and the woman had grabbed my hand.”
“She was just unhinged,” Conway added. “She was out of control. Her whole face was terror and anger. She was right here, and my daughter was right there. She ought to pay for that, because she has no right to touch anybody. She put her hands on me and was shaking me.”
The woman has since been identified as Mary Elizabeth Inabinett, a 63-year-old left-wing zealot whom even the restaurant manager claims had been harassing Conway specifically over her political views.

“The suspect was yelling ‘shame on you’ and other comments believed to be about Conway’s political views,” local authorities wrote in Inabinett’s charging document, citing a statement made to them by the restaurant’s manager, according to CNN.
They added that “the suspect continued to yell and gesture at her for approximately 8-10 minutes before she was escorted from the restaurant.”
The White House counselor’s daughter recorded the whole encounter. It was in fact via her video footage that local authorities were able to identify and ultimately charge Inabinett with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct. She reportedly plans to plead not-guilty.
After the incident Conway told the president about it — he replied by asking, “Are you OK? Are you OK? Is your daughter OK? Are the other girls OK?” — but chose to keep it out of the public spotlight because other families’ children had been present at the restaurant.
“There were other people’s kids there, which is why I didn’t want to talk about it publicly,” she said. “I don’t want it to become a thing, I just want it to become a teachable moment for everyone.”
The alleged assault on the White House counselor represents one of numerous similar encounters that occurred throughout all of 2018.
For instance, the video footage below shows a belligerent left-wing man harassing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his wife at a Kentucky restaurant in late October:
The harassment (and sometimes assaults) — all of it condoned by top Democrat figures like congresswoman Maxine Waters and former Attorney General Eric Holder — grew so frequent that Republican congressman Steve Scalise, a man who almost lost his life because of left-wing aggression, penned a column pleading with Democrats to get their base under control.
“Beginning with my own near-death experience at the hands of a deranged shooter who sought to assassinate a baseball field of Republicans, there is a growing list of violent or threatening actions taken against conservatives by Democrats,” he noted in an op-ed for Fox News.
Scalise provided a lengthy list of examples ranging from threats against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and his family to threats against National Rifle Association spokeswoman Dana Loesch, Rep. Diane Black, Sen. Cory Gardner’s wife and more. The Louisiana congressman also cited the aforementioned examples of harassment.
“And this list goes on,” his op-ed continued. “The threats and the violence have not let up and instead of seeing my Democrat colleagues calling for an end, there have been calls for their supporters to keep going, to do even more to threaten Republicans.”
“I refuse to stand for this and I will continue to call for an end to it. A healthy, strong democracy is not possible if anyone lives in fear of expressing their views. If this is going to stop, it must start with Democratic leaders, who need to condemn, rather than promote these dangerous calls to action.”

While incidents of conservatives/Republicans being harassed, assaulted, etc., appear to have declined dramatically since last year, there’s no telling what the future holds, especially given the unrelenting hatred that so many on the far-left still possess for their ideological opponents.
As just one example, note how the left is treating Conway’s candid admission:
@kellyannepolls And you DESERVED IT!!

And @KellyannePolls you deserve it
— DEN (@DENsundancer) February 8, 2019
So @KellyannePolls, what’s it like to be attacked without provocation? It happens to non-whites DAILY! WHY?
Because people choose to buy the public narrative that people, LIKE YOU, put out there.
