Sen. Kamala Harris joined nearly every other candidate for the Democratic Party’s 2020 presidential nomination in endorsing the progressive disaster known as the “Green New Deal.”
The California Democrat co-sponsored the bill introduced by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday and was almost instantly mocked for it.

The radical legislation proposed by Ocasio-Cortez and Democratic Senator Ed Markey aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in 10 years, effectively eliminating all fossil fuel energy production as well as nuclear energy, calls for basically rebuilding every building in America and making air travel unnecessary.
And that’s just for starters.

Several senators and Democratic presidential hopefuls, including Cory Booker of New Jersey, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, New York’s Kirsten Gillibrand and former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, endorsed or expressed support for the “Green New Deal.”

The open support coming in from many of the Democrat Party’s presidential candidates, and potential candidates, signals a ‘remarkable’ shift to the far-left as noted by New Time’s Shane Goldmacher.

The same support was not initially offered by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who appeared to dismiss the proposal by the freshman New York lawmaker and self-proclaimed Democratic socialist.
“It will be one of several or maybe many suggestions that we receive,” Pelosi said Thursday “The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it right?”

As the framework of the plan to combat global warming was released Thursday, it was roundly condemned on social media.
