Coming out as gay in this day and age entails little risk given that homosexuals are now accepted everywhere, including in the Republican Party. But the same doesn’t apply to coming out as a proud supporter of one of the most maligned men in American history, President Donald Trump.
And so, though 23-year-old model Elizabeth Pipko has been a proud supporter of the president since 2016, when she volunteered for his presidential campaign, it’s only now that she’s coming out.
In an op-ed for the New York Post, the young model wrote that for the past two years she’s been “terrified” of being outed as a Trump supporter, lest her career grinds to a screeching halt.
She wrote that the fear stemmed in part from the Trump Derangement Syndrome she saw everywhere in the industry, including from her own manager and her own colleagues.

“Once, after working a 10-hour-day on the Trump campaign, I went to meet with my manager (who was not affiliated with a modeling agency),” she recalled. “He and a colleague were enraged, screaming about how much they hate Trump. My manager kept saying how evil the people who work for him must be and that he would never work with anyone who supported him.”
“I was terrified they would find out that I was one of the so-called evil people. So I lied and told people I was coaching ice skating — I was a competitive figure skater for seven years — whenever I was really hard at work in Trump Tower. When I ran into a modeling friend on my way there one day, I immediately hid my badge and said I was running errands.”
Welcome to the wonderful life of the everyday Trump supporter. This sort of insanity — that of labeling people “evil” for supporting a man who’s presided over America’s lowest black unemployment rate, as just one example — is unfortunately commonplace among the left. So are physical attacks, harassment and discrimination. And sadly for Pipko, the modeling industry is teeming with leftists.
“At one shoot, the photographer came in wearing a black T-shirt with a gigantic red slash over Trump’s face. I was so unnerved, I could barely concentrate on the job at hand,” she wrote.
“Another time, in July 2016, Trump had said something controversial and it was all over the news. I was at Miami Swim Week for fashion shows, and the 15 other models were bashing him. I just sat in the corner and pretended to be on my phone. I didn’t want to be ostracized.”
She was not alone. She recounted the time she ran into a “big-time male model” at Trump Tower and how he begged her to “not tell anyone,” lest his own career be jeopardized.
So why now — after two years of hiding in the shadows — is Pipko speaking up? While she never clarifies, she does write that she’s proud of her work for the president, she’s proud of the president himself and she’s thrilled that she met her husband because of him.
“Not only am I proud of my work for Trump, but I also met amazing people — including my now husband, Darren Centinello, who is still part of the President’s campaign team. He works on digital and social media outreach/strategy for the 2020 race,” she wrote.
She added that the two got married at Mar-a-Lago just last month.
“My husband and I got married at Mar-a-Lago in December. We invited the President but, unfortunately, it was just before the federal shutdown began. Our invitations were red hats that read “Make Marriage Great Again,” with a tag hanging off that listed all the wedding information,” she wrote.
“We weren’t worried about offending our guests — at this point, I’ve already lost so many friends because of my Trump affiliation, the ones left standing are here to stay.”
She concluded her column by writing that, though the liberal media portray Trump as a sexist, misogynistic monster who mistreats women, she thinks he’s “great for women”
“He’s always promoted women to leadership positions at his real estate company and at the White House. And as for the alleged pay-offs to various women — it’s none of my business. I care about what President Trump has done and will do for my country,” she wrote. “I’m already hoping to take part in the reelection in some capacity. And this time, I’m not going to hide it.”
The response on social media to her column has thus far been positive, presumably because members of the far-left haven’t read it yet. Quite a few have noted the irony of leftists, who routinely accuse Trump supporters of being Nazis and brownshirts, acting like actual Nazis and brownshirts.
Interesting how President Trump’s supporters are “brown shirts”, and yet it’s the left that has made it a crime to publicly express support for the President, since people are smeared as bigots, subject to death threats, and lose their jobs if they do. https://t.co/W9Z9msl3PM

What kind of country do we live in when people have to be afraid to support their president?
Liberals are fascists and they don’t even realize it.

Democrats claim to be the party of women, until they learn that women support @POTUS, then they threaten women with physical violence & vow to ruin their careers. We should all celebrate the great women with the courage to stand up to the liberal gestapo. https://t.co/8eOOvLxkG0

Isn’t it sad that we don’t feel free to let our OPINIONS AND ALLEGIANCES BE KNOWN?! The #Left

Isn’t it crazy that admitting you love Trump takes BRAVERY?! Glad her efforts on the campaign found her lasting friendships and a wonderful hubby. ???❤️
