Despite the insistence of liberals that voter fraud just doesn’t happen, an astounding number of registered voters in Texas were just revealed to be non-citizens.
After a nearly year-long investigation into voter fraud, Texas Secretary of State David Whitley announced the results on Friday, revealing that 95,000 non-citizens were currently registered to vote in the state with 58,000 of them having voted in one or more election, NBC-DFW reported.
The information was then provided to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office.
VOTER FRAUD ALERT: The @TXsecofstate discovered approx 95,000 individuals identified by DPS as non-U.S. citizens have a matching voter registration record in TX, approx 58,000 of whom have voted in TX elections. Any illegal vote deprives Americans of their voice.

“Texas law allows lawfully present non-citizens to obtain driver’s licenses by showing proof of lawful presence to DPS,” Paxton’s office said in a statement. “However, only citizens are eligible to vote. And Texas law currently does not require verification of a voter’s statement that they are a citizen.”
Republican Gov. Greg Abbott weighed in on the findings, praising investigators and calling for “prosecution where appropriate” in a tweet Friday.
Thanks to Attorney General Paxton and the Secretary of State for uncovering and investigating this illegal vote registration. I support prosecution where appropriate. The State will work on legislation to safeguard against these illegal practices. #txlege #tcot https://t.co/UwtyXijVwK

“Every single instance of illegal voting threatens democracy in our state and deprives individual Texans of their voice,” Paxton said in a statement, according to NBC-DFW. “My Election Fraud Unit stands ready to investigate and prosecute crimes against the democratic process when needed.”
“Nothing is more vital to preserving our Constitution than the integrity of our voting process, and my office will do everything within its abilities to solidify trust in every election in the state of Texas. I applaud Secretary of State Whitley for his proactive work in safeguarding our elections,” Paxton said.
Democrats were, unsurprisingly, skeptical of the figures.
“Because we have consistently seen Texas politicians conjure the specter of voter fraud as pretext to suppress legitimate votes, we are naturally skeptical,” Texas state Rep. Rafael Anchia, said in a statement.
But the chair of the Republican Party of Texas applauded the investigation which he said “provides undeniable proof that voter fraud has been significant – even in Texas.”
“Identifying ineligible registrations and removing them from the voter rolls is the first step toward restoring integrity to our electoral process,” James Dickey said in a statement, according to CBS-DFW.
Ensuring that illegal votes do not destroy the impact of legal votes should absolutely be a non-partisan priority.

Sam Taylor, a spokesman for the secretary of state, noted that they “are very confident” in the methods used to identify the problematic voter registrations, noting that the office was not declaring that all 95,000 names were, in fact, non-citizens but only matched the search criteria.
“We can’t see a situation in which this would produce a false positive,” he said. “These are people whose last and most recent visits to D.P.S. showed them to be non-citizens through documentation that they submitted and which D.P.S. has kept on file.”
Twitter users reacted to the news and the scoffing of Democrats at the mention of voter fraud.
Lmfao. Why, because it undercuts your narrative?

On election day we found a poll worker in TX saying “we got tons” of non-citizen (DACA) voters, if he’s got a driver’s liscense, “he’s good.” Anyone who can help us further investigate voter fraud can contact us here https://t.co/Fn3nQMMKZ3 https://t.co/eG5IIjDo2h

Should be national voter ID… and that means proof of citizenship…
… ideally if you don’t pay federal income tax … net pay into government … shouldn’t get to vote either… enough of the tax credits… way too many takers
