The producers of the ABC talk show “The View” tried to scold co-host Meghan McCain, the daughter of deceased Sen. John McCain, on Friday for describing President Donald Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, as a “jackass” whose word means diddly squat.
In response, the hotheaded co-host angrily told her producers to stop censoring her.
The brief but unexpected feud broke out during a discussion about Cohen’s agreement this week to testify before Congress soon about his alleged crimes and the work he once performed for Trump.
It’s unclear why the former Trump attorney agreed to testify, though some theories have emerged:

It was McCain and co-host Abby Huntsman’s contention Friday that the upcoming testimony will by default be a nothing burger given that Cohen can’t be trusted. He’s a known liar and deceiver.
“[I]f it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck. And I think we are probably going to get some information. Will it be the damning Trump is imprisoned and impeached moment? Probably not, since it never is so far,” McCain argued.
A large contingent of far-left activists believe that during Cohen’s upcoming testimony, he’ll reveal some damning “fact” about Trump that’ll provide the proof needed to incarcerate him.
“I honestly think Michael Cohen was a jackass from day one and I continue to think he’s a jackass. I don’t know what he could probably say to change that,” she continued.

As co-host Ana Navarro interjected to say that Cohen’s “Donald Trump’s jackass,” the producers of the show apparently scolded McCain for using the term “jackass” on live television.
“Sorry, apparently you’re not allowed to say that, Ana. I just got it in my ear,” the incensed young conservative blurted out. “Sorry. Sorry, I can’t say that.”
“But the audience is in agreement with us that that guy seems shady,” she continued as her voice began to grew louder and more shrill. “I’m sorry, don’t censor us on what we’re allowed to say about a guy like Michael Cohen who’s about to rot in jail.”
Her anger was palpable. What’s astonishing is how liberals on social media reacted to her scathing condemnation of Cohen. To them, it proved that she’s a lackey for the president.

Yet much like her father, McCain has been one of the president’s fiercest critics. In fact, she used her father’s own funeral to trash the same man whom liberals claim she thinks is “brilliant.”
“We gather here to mourn the passing of American greatness,” she said at the funeral. “The real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice he gave so willingly, nor the opportunistic appropriation of those who lived lives of comfort and privilege.”
While she didn’t explicitly say Trump’s name, everybody knew what she meant.

What’s equally stunning is the left’s newfound love for Cohen, a man whom they loathed when he worked for Trump, but whom they started to adore after the president fired him last year.
Following his termination, Cohen began issuing accusations against the president that were so unsubstantiated that even Fox News liberal commentator Geraldo Rivera found them unconvincing.
“Well, I think Michael Cohen is full of crap,” Rivera said just last month. “[L]et me just say that Michael Cohen makes my skin crawl talking about how he is telling the truth now even though he was lying yesterday. He is a serial manipulator and a con man.”
And as of January 2019, he’s apparently a “serial manipulator and a con man” whom the Trump Derangement Syndrome-afflicted left apparently consider to be a hero.
