White House counselor Kellyanne Conway humiliated CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta during a press gaggle Tuesday, scolding him publicly for asking “smartass” questions.
The verbal beatdown began promptly after Acosta asked Conway whether President Donald Trump intended to tell the truth during the Oval Office address scheduled for that evening.
Listen:
It’s unclear whether the CNN correspondent, who’s previously been condemned by fellow members of the media for perpetrating a “dangerous brand of performance journalism,” ever asked similar questions about former President Barack Hussein Obama and his many media-supported lies.
“Yes, Jim,” the counselor fired back. “Can you promise that you will? The whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God? Am I allowed to mention ‘God’ to you?”
“I will,” Acosta replied. “Absolutely. I’m not the one who has the alternative facts problem like you do.”
What followed was what can only be accurately described as a beatdown.
Kellyanne Conway showed the WH folks how to handle an asshole who talked to himself. Acosta still looking for his after the beatdown

“Jim, I know that’s a cheap [shot] … make sure that goes viral. By the way, this is why I am one of the only people around here who even gives you the time of day … because you’re such a smartass most of the time, and I know you want this to go viral,” Conway replied.
“A lot of these people here don’t like you,” she added, motioning toward the other reporters.
That’s true.
A few CNN reporters told me that they’re embarrassed by Acosta & CNN. A WH correspondent from a major network (not Fox) told me “This isn’t the Jim F*ing Acosta Show. We all hate him. He’s an asshole and he actually is disrespectful to the president.”

She then explained her “alternative facts” remark from 2017.
“I explained that that was alternative information and additional facts, and I explained it many times,” she said. “Don’t you put it back in my face, for all the corrections that your network needs to issue. I was on your network 25-26 times in 2018, I’m one of the last people here who even bothered to go on. And the disrespect that you show to me personally, I’ll just look past.”
“Ma’am …,” Acosta tried to interject.
“No, no, no … And don’t call me ma’am to make it up,” Conway concluded.
Nice try, though.
As of Wednesday morning, social media users were still tweeting about the “epic smackdown.”
Look:
The only unsatisfying thing about this awesome smackdown is that @Acosta isn’t smart enough or self-aware enough to know just how thoroughly he just had his ass whipped. https://t.co/YsdxMuP5T9

@Acosta is still burning from that beatdown he took from @realDonaldTrump’s right-hand woman, @KellyannePolls. Epic smackdown of #FakeNews @CNN.

Tuesday’s “beatdown” marked the second public humiliation that the controversial CNN correspondent has suffered in just two months. The last one occurred in November, when the president verbally “molly-whopped” Acosta at a press conference for rudely refusing to surrender his microphone.
“I tell you what, CNN should be ashamed of itself, having you working for them,” the president told Acosta at one point. “You are a rude, terrible person. You shouldn’t be working for CNN.”
“You are a rude person. The way you treat [White House Press Secretary] Sarah Huckabee is horrible and the way you treat others is horrible. You shouldn’t treat people that way.”
Watch:
The only people who still like and respect Acosta appear to be far leftists, i.e., the type of delusional people who still believe Trump is a covert Russian operative who will be arrested “soon” for selling the country out to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
People like this:
@Acosta is my hero. Keep at KAC one of the most disingenuous (liar for the magas) person around. She thinks if she talks fast enough we won’t catch the lies. SNL had her perfect. SHS, KAC and DJT if their lips are moving they are lying. https://t.co/z8bhZabaf2
