Michelle Obama’s two-word classless answer on Fallon’s show is why Americans are so grateful for Melania Trump

Michelle Obama revealed an undignified response to what her emotions were like as she left the White House on her last day.

Appearing on “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday, the former first lady responded to host Jimmy Fallon’s question about what was going through her mind as she and her husband, former President Barack Obama, boarded the plane to leave Washington, D.C. on January 20, 2017.

“Bye, Felicia,” she replied, drawing cheers from the audience and sending Fallon into a fit of laughter.

“A lot was going on that day, that was a day,” she said. “Right before that, my daughters’ friends decided they needed a sleepover for the last day, I was like ‘are you guys kidding me, we’re leaving, you’ve gotta take all your stuff.’”

“And then there was the Tiffany’s box,” Obama added, making an insulting reference to the gift box that Melania Trump gave her outside of the White House during the transition.

“It was a lot,” she recalled.

The audience hung on her every word, in stark contrast to the brutal and disrespectful way that the current first lady, Malania Trump, is treated daily by the left.

Obama discussed her marriage and how “marriage counseling was a turning point” in their relationship and also spoke about her book, “Becoming,” which she is promoting on a book tour, telling Fallon that writing the memoir was part of the First Lady “assignment”

“And then, you write a book,” she said, jokingly.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

“It’s a great story!” Fallon exclaimed. “You came from basically nothing, and became the First Lady of the United States!”

“Go figure,” she quipped in response, and noted that she could have written another book on her White House years, but it would probably would have been 800 pages and “it would take Barack like 800 days to read it.”

After her remarks about the transition out of the White House as President Donald Trump assumed office, Obama was asked if she is currently optimistic about the country.

“I am,” she said. “We owe young people that optimism, that hope, because what’s the alternative?” … They come into this world with so much promise and openness. We’re the ones that shut them down.

‘They need to know their story can be my story,” Obama continued. “If you live like I did – a little working-class kid who made her way up to becoming First Lady of the United States, a best-selling author, traveling the world – there is reason for hope.”

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

Her “journey” may have melted liberals’ hearts but many were just reminded of the contrast of dignity and class with First Lady Melania Trump.
