Thanks to some odd behavior last week by socialist congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, her image as a scatterbrained millennial with a very limited comprehension of anything and everything, including how the government works, just got significantly worse.
Flash back to last Friday. During an appearance that evening on “Hannity,” guest Niger Innis brazenly insulted Ocasio-Cortez, describing her as the daughter of deceased Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.
Innis, a conservative commentator and the national spokesperson for the Congress of Racial Equity, made the remarks while speaking about why the GOP-led House needs to move forward on criminal justice reform before Democrats retake control in January.
“It’s important to get some type of legislation, criminal justice reform passed before Queen Nancy [Pelosi], and people like Mad Maxine Waters and Castro’s granddaughter Ocasio-Cortez, come to town with a Democratic majority,” he said.
The following morning on “Fox & Friends,” he doubled down, referring to Ocasio-Cortez as “Alexandria Castro-Cortez” as per her desire to implement Castro-esque policies in the U.S.

In response to these clear-cut insults, the socialist congresswoman-elect said and wrote nothing. As of Sunday morning, her Twitter feed contained no references to Innis.
Yet when a number of Fox hosts and guests praised Ocasio-Cortez during a discussion Friday evening about her shoes, that for some inexplicable reason triggered her.
The discussion specifically focused on a decision by Cornell University’s so-called Cornell Costume and Textile Collection to feature the shoes she wore while campaigning in an exhibit set to debut on Dec. 6. The shoes contain holes in them and show how hard she reportedly worked.
Despite the Fox contributors’ staunch disagreement with the socialist congresswoman-elect’s political positions, which lean radically to the left, they all agreed that she deserves this honor.
Listen:
“She frankly has the shoes to prove it,” Rachel Campos-Duffy said, referencing Ocasio-Cortez’s claim of having worked so hard. “They had holes in them. … She deserves to be in the museum.”
Wendy Osefo, one of Fox’s resident Democrats, concurred, saying, “I think if we’re talking about what this museum is for, which is women at the front lines, you cannot take that away from her whatever your parochial ideology is. She worked for it. She’s 29 years old. She made history.”
Even Fox Business corespondent Susan Li, a proud capitalist, agreed, saying, “I respect and admire the hustle, so these shoes are symbolic and mean a lot.”
Save for a tiny bit of criticism by Campos-Duffy, who noted that Ocasio-Cortez’s policies mirror those of Venezuela, where citizens “can’t afford shoes, don’t have shoes on their feet, because of what socialism has done to their country,” the discussion was mainly friendly to the congresswoman-elect.
Despite this, she posted a series of tweets late Friday and early Saturday mocking the network’s hosts and contributors for essentially praising her.

Don’t worry, Fox News has made it clear that they are far superior to + more intelligent than me, who they’ve called a “little, simple person.” So I’m sure catching up to me in spoken languages shouldn’t be a problem for them.

It’s unclear whether she even watched the discussion and why she chose to leave Innis off the hook.
It’s also unclear whether she realizes how many Americans disagree with Cornell University’s decision to showcase her shoes. While the hosts and contributors at Fox whom she mocked believe she deserves to be heralded as a hard worker, plenty of others feel differently.

“Historical exhibit”? What history did she accomplish aside from showing how ignorant of government she is?
The exhibit features “hard work”? My husband has boots that have been to both Iraq & Afghanistan that have done more work that this woman ever will.https://t.co/GpMek4W41Q— ?? Princess ?? (@polishprincessh) November 23, 2018
Thank you for posting the alledge shoes of @Ocasio2018 this way every idiot that thinks socialism/communism is the answer can see the type of shoes they will be wearing. That’s all that will be available.

It’s the fear of the damage that can be done by a socialist idiot in congress that drives the criticism. I’m shocked that you can tie your shoes. I’m not surprised you expect others to pay your bills. Silence would serve you well.

@Ocasio2018 walk a mile in her shoes? Really ? This bitch don’t have no right to even think about using this remark. She has done nothing except show how stupid she is and promote. A government system that has show itself to be a failure over and over throughout the world Pt 1

One Twitter user directed her anger at Fox, writing that its hosts “were waay too kind about her shoes.”
Look:
She appealed to ignorant sheeple & illegals who don’t speak English. Remember when @Ocasio2018 locked a grp of disabled & elderly in a room for a rally & locked the press out? She vilifies @FoxNews but they were waay too kind about her shoes.
