Florida Dems lawyer up as feds come after them for modifying ballot. Party leaders have scapegoat ready.

In response to increasingly credible accusations of election fraud in Florida, the state’s Democrat Party has reportedly lawyered up, according to a report published Friday.

The report dropped a day after The Naples Daily News ran a bombshell exposé essentially accusing the party of trying to commit voter fraud in the 2018 midterm elections.

An investigation by the paper found that party officials had purposefully mailed voters modified absentee ballots prior to the elections in a possible attempt to commit voter fraud.

The party specifically sent modified “cure affidavit” forms showing a deadline of Nov. 8, three days beyond the state’s actual absentee ballot deadline.

Here’s what the altered forms looked like:

An unnamed Democrat official in Palm Beach County admitted to the Daily News that the intention had been to have voters amend their absentee ballots, even after the deadline, with the hope that a judge would ultimately rule in favor of allowing such ballots to be included in a future recount.

Altering state forms is a criminal offense, and the Department of Justice is investigating the bogus mail-in ballots pursuant to a referral from the Florida Department of State. A GOP lawyer has confirmed with Breitbart that the altered ballots could be grounds for a potential criminal investigation.

Now fast forward to Friday, when the FDP responded to the Daily News’ report by issuing a statement saying that it’d basically lawyered up.

“Upon receiving notice of the allegations that the form was incorrect, FDP took immediate steps, including hiring an independent investigator to review the issues at hand,” attorney Mark Herron said. “As soon as we know the results of the investigation we will advise you.”

The so-called “investigator” is tasked with identifying who specifically within the party modified the inaccurate form sent to voters. The party claims the perpetrator was not someone in a position of leadership but rather a young, out-of-control whippersnapper.

“It was mid-level and it was a bunch of go-getters and young people who wanted to make a difference and didn’t realize this is a major political party and this is not how you get things done,” FDP vice chair Alan Clendenin said in an interview.

The Daily News uncovered the apparent fraud by finding “an email that showed Democrats were told to distribute the altered forms in an apparent statewide effort, encouraging party workers to give them to as many voters as possible so they could fix signature problems on their ballots despite the fact the state deadline had passed.”

The email was reportedly sent by Jennifer Kim, the party’s deputy central Florida field director, a day after the midterm elections. In the email she ordered the party’s workers to contact Florida voters in search of Democrats who needed to fix their mailed absentee ballots.

The latest reports out of Florida are just one of many that have surfaced since the election Nov. 6. Even by Nov. 17, winners in the Florida senatorial and gubernatorial had yet to be declared, in part because of a refusal by Democrat candidates to concede defeat.

The Democrats’ stubborn refusal to concede, coupled with a growing number of election irregularities, has led many to accuse the party of trying to steal the election:

Despite a host of other problems — ballots being transported in the dead of night, good and bad ballots being mixed together, court rulings being ignored, etc. — the only surefire indication of actual fraud thus far has been the altered forms.

And of course it was right after the altered forms were exposed by local media in Florida that the FDP lawyered up. The coincidental timing was noted by many on social media:
