Kellyanne Conway’s 4-word response to report Hillary will run again in 2020 will make your day

kellyanne tweetWhite House counselor Kellyanne Conway is praying that Hillary Clinton will run for president in 2020 amid mounting speculation that the two-time failed presidential candidate could throw her hat in the ring again.

“Dear God, Please, Yes,” Conway tweeted in response to a Wall Street Journal op-ed by Mark Penn, a former senior adviser to the Clintons. Penn is now a vocal Hillary critic.

“Do not underestimate Hillary’s positioning to run again,” Penn told Fox & Friends on Nov. 12. “Clintons never stop until they get where they want to go.”

In an op-ed entitled “Hillary Will Run Again,” Mark Penn says Clinton could easily win the Democrat Party’s 2020 nomination by reinventing herself a “liberal firebrand.”

Penn — who advised Hillary on her 2000 and 2006 Senate campaigns and her 2008 presidential campaign — said Clinton’s massive ego won’t allow her to admit defeat to a political newcomer that she thinks she’s better than:

“Get ready for Hillary Clinton 4.0. More than 30 years in the making, this new version of Mrs. Clinton, when she runs for president in 2020, will come full circle—back to the universal-health-care-promoting progressive firebrand of 1994.

True to her name, Mrs. Clinton will fight this out until the last dog dies. She won’t let a little thing like two stunning defeats stand in the way of her claim to the White House.

“Mrs. Clinton has come unbound. She will not allow this humiliating loss at the hands of an amateur to end the story of her career. You can expect her to run for president once again. Maybe not at first, when the legions of Senate Democrats make their announcements, but definitely by the time the primaries are in full swing.”

If Hillary did run again, it wouldn’t be a complete surprise to many people. In October 2018, Clinton floated the possibility that she might run in 2020, but said she’ll wait until after the midterm elections.

“Do you want to run again?” a reporter asked. Clinton replied, “No…[but] I’d like to be president.”

Hillary downplayed the idea of a 2020 run, then bragged about how she’s perfect for the job.

“There’s going to be so much work to be done [in 2020],” Clinton said. “It would be work that I feel very well prepared for, having been in the Senate for eight years, and having been a diplomat in the State Department.”

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders cheerfully welcomed the idea of a Hillary 2020 run. “Christmas coming early this year?” Sanders tweeted.

Flashback: “Every once in a while, I remember this and smile.”
