A so-called liberal “journalist” who had tweeted out in defense of the left-wing thugs who “protested” outside Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s home last week — nearly frightening his wife to death — has allegedly been dealt what some describe as a taste of his “own medicine.”
At least one person responded to Vox co-founder Matthew Yglesias’ tweets about the “protest” outside Carlson’s home by sharing his home address to Twitter in what Slate described as a bid to give his family “the same treatment” experienced by the Fox host’s family.

While Twitter initially declined to remove the tweet, claiming it didn’t violate its policies, the platform later removed it after Slate contacted the company’s public relations department.
“At 11:20 a.m. Friday, I emailed Twitter’s public relations department to ask for comment on the decision to allow Yglesias’ doxing. By noon, a Twitter official responded that the company was looking into it. When I checked minutes later, the tweet was no longer online,” Slate reported.
“Twitter confirmed to me later Friday afternoon that it had removed the tweet. It also confirmed that the tweet did in fact violate its policies, and that its earlier rejection of the reports from Yglesias and others had been a mistake.”
Yglesias doesn’t appear to have personally responded to this doxing yet, but he did retweet a woman who claimed without evidence that he was doxed by “a bunch of conservatives”:
A bunch of conservatives were dog piling @mattyglesias yesterday and they doxed him right in a reply with his address. I reported it to @jack and they said it didn’t violate their rules.

This tweet received a lot of mockery from conservatives for the simple fact that it’s the radical left that has a track record of doxing people, including pro-Trump activists, congressional Republicans and random purported “racists.”
Many also found it exasperating that she was upset about Yglesias being doxed but seemed entirely unconcerned about what Carlson’s family had to put up with.

This anger stems from Yglesias’ widely panned justification of the “protest” outside Carlson’s home.
“I agree that this is probably not tactically sound but if your instinct is to empathize with the fear of the Carlson family rather than with the fear of his victims then you should take a moment to reflect on why that is,” he wrote Thursday in since-deleted tweets.
It’s unclear what he meant since Carlson is a political commentator, not a member of, say, a brutal gang like MS-13, which for the record Yglesias’ website has previously defended.
“I honestly cannot empathize with Tucker Carlson’s wife at all — I agree that protesting at her house was tactically unwise and shouldn’t be done — but I am utterly unable to identify with her plight on any level,” his tweets continued.
During the “protest,” left-wing thugs tried to break down Carlson’s front door, spurring his wife — who was home alone – to hide in a closet. Yglesias’Â utter disregard for the Fox host’s wife shocked many and also left some bitter enough to suggest that he likewise deserved to be doxed and hounded.
Of course, there were also plenty of principled conservatives who rightly noted that two wrongs never make a right. If only there were more principled people of both the left and the right, none of this would be happening right now.
