James Woods puts aside politics to help lib activist Alyssa Milano with horses during deadly fire

One of the right’s most vocal critics of liberalism, Hollywood actor James Woods, reached across the aisle last week to help a liberal actress in grave need.

The outspoken conservative’s unexpected acts of kindness happened Friday amid the ongoing wildfires in California, where thousands of homes have been destroyed due possibly to poor forest management.

Among those who homes had been at threat was gun-control activist and actress Alyssa Milano, who posted tweets around 1:00 pm Friday afternoon asking for help evacuating five horses that she owns.

Woods, who’d already been busy using his Twitter account to try and help other victims of the wildfires, promptly jumped to action by tweeting tips to Milano vis-à-vis her horses ‏and also pleading to anyone following his#SoCalFiresJamesWoods hashtag to assist her if possible.

“She needs help with five horses,” he wrote. “It was previously reported that her horses had been evacuated, but she says that did not happen. Please contact her at @Alyssa_Milano to get her location or use my hashtag #SoCalFiresJamesWoods This is a serious request.”

By 3:33 pm that afternoon, the situation was clear.

“Horses are finally safe. My children are safe. My home is in jeopardy but… everything with a heartbeat is safe. Thank you all for your concern,” Milano tweeted.

But she added something else especially important: “To those who insisted on still being hurtful because our political affiliation is different, you are what is wrong with the country.”

While it’s unclear what specifically she had been referring to, there are several examples of people on Twitter complaining about Milano and Woods working together toward a common goal.

“Why the hell would anyone want to help @Alyssa_Milano?” one man tweeted after Woods’ initial tweet.

Read Woods’ pithy reply below:

Rotten apples like RayRaySciuridae represent a tiny minority. The majority of those who observed the interactions Friday between Milano and Woods — as well as the actor’s overall efforts toward helping victims of the California wildfires — were appreciate and got his message loud and clear.

Even far-left actor Patton Oswald, whose Trump Derangement Syndrome has over the past two years triggered some outrageous behavior, heard it.

Of course, Woods wasn’t interested in gratitude but rather in helping people, as evidenced by this tweet:

What shocked many about the actor’s efforts was how much he and Milano have in the past butted heads over politics.

After Milano tweeted over the summer that President Donald Trump shouldn’t be allowed to choose a Supreme Court justice so long as he remains under investigation, Woods sarcastically replied, “Did she go to high school?”

But despite their political differences, they had no qualms about briefly teaming up to save some innocent horses. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what being an American is all about!
