A CNN analyst known for issuing false proclamations about Republicans issued yet another one Wednesday by accusing Republican Kansas gubernatorial nominee Kris Kobach of being a racist whose career has been dedicated “to stopping black people and poor people from voting.”
Analyst Jeffrey Toobin made the remark during a discussion on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360°” about the gubernatorial hopeful’s support for voter ID laws, which polls by Rasmussen Reports and Gallup have shown a majority of Americans also back.

The discussion began with host Anderson Cooper grilling Kobach, who currently serves as Kansas’s secretary of state, about a voter ID law he tried to pass that a federal judge later rejected.
He replied by noting that judges will “often” disagree on verdicts, adding, “Just because you have a district judge who doesn’t agree with you on a case doesn’t mean that you’re not going to see a different decision come out of the Court.”
The Supreme Court in particular has repeatedly ruled in favor of voter ID laws across the states, including in North Dakota, where earlier this year the court ruled in favor of a law that requires voters bring a form of ID contains their address to the polling booths.
Instead of noting Kobach’s point, Toobin accused him of being a racist, saying, “Kris has spent his career trying to prevent black people and poor people from voting. That’s been your goal for decades.”
“That is an outrageous accusation,” the gubernatorial hopeful replied. “So if you like photo ID, you are trying to stop people of color from voting? That is outrageous.”
It should be noted that what the CNN analyst said qualifies as an opinion — a highly unsubstantiated one based on the racist left-wing theory that minorities lack the ability to obtain and maintain a form of identification like every other American.

Despite Toobin’s remark being a clear-cut opinion, some media outlets considered by the mainstream establishment to be credible, reported his remark as a a statement of fact.

The left-wing purveyor also falsely accused Kobach of engaging in “voter suppression,” a term concocted by the Democrat Party to smear those politicians who try to enhance voter integrity.
Toobin echoed this line of thinking Wednesday, telling the gubernatorial hopeful that his efforts to stop voter fraud — which the CNN talking head falsely said doesn’t exist (it does) — is rooted in a desire to stop Democrats from voting in any election.
“Your problem is that some people vote for Democrats, and you want to stop that to establish voter requirements,” he said, offering no evidence to back up this libelous claim.
But didn’t Toobin just say minutes earlier that Kobach wanted to stop black people and poor people from voting? Was he trying to suggest all blacks and poor people vote for Democrats? His thinking seemed illogical and even racist, as noted by many on social media:

While these Twitter users raised valid points — as did Kobach, and has everyone else concerned about voter fraud — the left-wing media appears to be too busy celebrating Toobin as a hero to care.
