Vice President Mike Pence confirmed Friday that according to his sources within the Honduran government, the caravan of Honduran migrants and illegal immigrants headed toward the U.S. southern border is being funded by left-wing political groups, some of them from Venezuela.
He explained to Fox News that after word of the incoming caravan had broken, President Donald Trump requested that he reach out to government officials in Honduras to request they stop it.
During a discussion thereafter with Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, Pence learned that the caravan didn’t form spontaneously — that it’d been funded into existence.
“What the president of Honduras told me is that the caravan was organized by leftist organizations, political activists within Honduras, and he said it was being funded by outside groups, and even from Venezuela,” he revealed during an interview with Fox News.
“So the American people, I think, see through this – they understand this is not a spontaneous caravan of vulnerable people.”
The evidence suggests he may be correct. Video footage emerged two weeks ago that appeared to show members of the caravan being handed something — perhaps money or instructional fliers — by what some suspect was a political operative.

While it remains unclear who exactly these political operatives might be, various media outlets have reported that an advocacy group called Pueblo Sin Fronteras (People Without Frontiers) has been “coordinating” and “organizing” the march.
According to conservative commentator Bill O’Reilly, the group put out a notice on social media earlier this year “that asylum could be obtained in America if certain directions were followed. Thus, the planned mass journey began to take shape.”
He suspects the group may be receiving money from larger organizations in the U.S.
“Because Pueblo Sin Fronteras is based in Honduras, it is not required to list its donors. But you can safely assume that it’s not money from Tegucigalpa that’s powering this engine,” he opined in a column last week. “A good guess is that shadowy far left political groups in America are putting up the cash.”

No matter where the funding originates, one thing’s clear, according to Texas congressman Louie Gohmert: It needs to be traced, and the incoming caravan needs to be stopped.
“We have got to have the DOJ investigate where the funding is coming from to send these thousands and thousands of people to the U.S.,” he said during an appearance on Fox News last week.
“There is money coming in. I’m sure there is some coming from the United States going to help this caravan along. It’s building of its own momentum and it will take a very strong president, which we have, to stop it. And we’ve got to make clear to Mexico they are not coming in, we’re closing the border.”

@carolecadwalla It would be helpful to investigate who is funding the massive migrant caravan heading for the US from Honduras, which undoubtedly requires massive funding and is certainly swaying US elections to the right. I suspect Pueblo Sin Fronteras has that kind of money.
