House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi warned a New York audience that Americans who do not agree with the Democrat Party may suffer “collateral damage.”
Pelosi’s remarks came in a sometimes rambling monologue delivered in New York City on Sunday where she was being interviewed by left-wing New York Times columnist, Paul Krugman.
“We have to have total clarity about what we do, when it comes to everything — a woman’s right to choose, gay marriage … whether it’s about immigration, whether it’s about gun safety, whether it’s about climate …,” the California Democrat said, sometimes stumbling over her own words.
Krugman, the Nobel Prize-winning economist who predicted “a global recession, with no end in sight” after President Trump was elected, attempted to ask another question but Pelosi jumped back in to finish her thoughts, however disconnected they may have been.
“I think that we owe the American people to be there for them, for their financial security, respecting the dignity and worth of every person in our country,” she said, “and if there’s some collateral damage for some others who do not share our view, well, so be it, but it shouldn’t be our original purpose.”
No telling what she meant exactly by “collateral damage” but the effects of Democrats calling for harassment and intimidation of Republicans and conservatives has been felt for months.
If Democrats win the majority in the wave they are hoping for – or the “tsunami” Pelosi predicted to an audience at Harvard on Monday – the 78-year-old congresswoman is hoping to be restored to her former position as speaker of the House.
Meanwhile, Republican Senate races have been depending on the possibility of Pelosi as speaker to rally GOP voters. But it appears Democratic candidates in at least 46 House races have already indicated she would not have their support, according to Fox News.
From Pelosi’s words to her strange mannerisms, Twitter users found the whole thing disturbing, especially in light of the numerous attacks against Republican officials and Trump supporters:
This is disgusting

The citizens of this country have every right to disagree with your party’s views without being threatened. Don’t poke the dragon.?

A perfect example of why it’s essential that every ELIGIBLE voter turns out to vote for republicans for the senate and the house in the upcoming midterms. It is vital, for the good of the country, that republicans maintain control of the senate and the house.
