Hollywood actor James Woods Took a forceful swing at HuffPost — and the entire media by extension — Thursday over its frivolous concern for White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller’s childhood habits.
Apparently, Miller used to “pour glue on his arm, let it dry, peel it off and then eat it,” and this was newsworthy to HuffPost (and countless others) for some inexplicable reason.
Look:
This is some cutting edge investigative journalism right here, boy… https://t.co/dlJcP3Ypxo

Woods’ point was that this is garbage journalism. Yet despite it clearly being garbage journalism, an absurd number of outlets that are considered “credible” by the mainstream press had picked up the story by Thursday, including The Cut, The Root, Mashable and Splinter News.

The real culprit, though, happens to be The Hollywood Reporter, which ran a op-ed Wednesday from Miller’s third-grade teacher, Nikki Fiske. It was the trifling nonsense she shared in her piece that HuffPost and its equally low-rent peers had picked up.
“I was always trying to get him to clean up his desk — he always had stuff mashed up in there,” Fiske had written. “He was a strange dude. I remember he would take a bottle of glue — we didn’t have glue sticks in those days — and he would pour the glue on his arm, let it dry, peel it off and then eat it.”
He hadn’t been a “strange dude.” He’d been a mere child — one whom she just smeared in front of the entire country, presumably to score political points. In her piece Fiske also derided young Miller as a “loner” with poor handwriting. Isn’t this a form of bullying?
The action to this piece was rightly brutal:
Making fun of him as a kid just because you don’t approve of them politically. That shows no class. Very unprofessional. And shame on you Hollywood Reporter!

No Stephen Miller fan AT ALL but this headline is disgusting and I can’t imagine how gross the article is inside.

If you think it isn’t bad please name the names of your problem children. I’m waiting

I’ve seen some low things in my career covering the media. This is perhaps the lowest.

This article is really disgusting. Whoever the “teacher” is who wrote it should be ashamed and @THR should be ashamed for publishing it. This actually makes me feel sick. This is why no one can take the media seriously anymore. You all are killing your own cause.

So we are now going back to third grade to attack people?
— Sevv09 on Mixer (@Sevv09) October 10, 2018
This is disgusting. Take it down.

To be fair, The Hollywood Reporter was simply following the lead of more “reputable” outlets like The New York Times and Politico, which had started the anti-Miller bandwagon last year.
First the Times investigated Miller’s high school and college days, and then this past summer one of his third-grade classmates penned a piece about him for Politico. Not once during former President Barack Hussein Obama’s eight years in office did either outlet ever dig into either his or his administration officials’ lives like this. Not once.
But when it comes to harming the Trump administration, the media will stoop to any level. As noted by several on Twitter, this is exactly why so few Americans like or trust the media anymore:
It’s unbelievable how low this media will go. At this point they’re well beyond six feet under and have reached the Earths inner core. They haven’t quite burned up reaching hot magma but might after the 2018 midterms if they’re not careful: https://t.co/FLnBZgvM4d

So now the media is looking into Trump adviser Stephen Miller’s past by asking 3rd grade teacher what he was like as a student ! And the teacher indulges them ! 3rd grade, seriously ? These people have no shame !https://t.co/lQU2e6qao1

The Media just yesterday: Leave Kaitlan Collins alone. Her past homophobic tweets have no relevance on who she is today.
The Media right now: Hah! We’ve got word from Stephen Miller’s third grade teacher that he used to eat glue as a kid!

What’s even more concerning is that @THR Would run a story like this! We don’t have news anymore! The Media has gone off the Cliff! https://t.co/UAgvpnZ8CJ via @dailycaller

I love how the media can dig up a story about Stephen Miller from third grade but no story about Obama seems to exist
