Ariel Dumas — a writer for “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” — apologized for a callous tweet where she gloated that she was happy that “we ruined Brett Kavanaugh’s life” with sham gang-rape allegations.
In a disingenuous follow-up tweet, Dumas played the victim card and claimed she was being sarcastic when she gleefully celebrated the media lynching of Kavanaugh, a federal judge who had an unblemished record until weeks before his Supreme Court confirmation.
“The last couple of weeks have been hard for the country and for me personally,” Arial tweeted. “The complexity of frustration, anger and sadness can’t be accurately conveyed on Twitter, and I regret my tone-deaf attempt at sarcasm in the wake of it.”
Predictably, CBS refused to fire or discipline Dumas because she’s a liberal, and so is the network. CBS told Fox News that Dumas’ apology spoke for itself and confirmed that she still works for Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show.”

Many people on Twitter didn’t buy Dumas’ faux-apology, saying she only backtracked because of escalating public uproar.
Dumas’ Twitter timeline is filled with anti-Kavanaugh and anti-Trump tweets, indicating she believed liberal professor Christine Blasey Ford’s decades-old, 11th hour groping accusations — despite a total lack of corroborating evidence to support the claims.
As BizPac Review has reported, Ford’s ex-boyfriend suggested she committed perjury by refuting many of the statements she made at her Senate Judiciary hearing against Kavanaugh.
Despite the Democrats’ sleazy, last-minute ploy to derail his SCOTUS nomination, the Senate confirmed Kavanaugh by a vote of 50-48.
Shortly after he was confirmed, Ariel Dumas blithely chirped that it didn’t matter that the Democrats failed to derail his confirmation because the damage was already done.
“Whatever happens, I’m just glad we ruined Brett Kavanaugh’s life,” Dumas crowed.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is today’s radical left. There are no reasonable moderates in the Democrat Party anymore. If they can destroy the reputation of a federal judge with the complicity of the mainstream media, imagine what they could do to a private citizen like you, your family, or your friends.
