Moment Lindsey Graham looks at camera to tell his Dem ‘friends’: ‘What y’all have done is bulls**t’

Sen. Lindsey Graham slammed Democrats for “making a mockery” of the Senate’s advise and consent role in the  treatment of Judge Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked the South Carolina Republican what other “games” Democrats would engage in to stall or derail the confirmation of the Supreme Court nominee before a scheduled vote Saturday.

“Think of the dumbest idea and they’ll do it,” Graham replied on “The Ingraham Angle” Thursday. “If they ever write a book about overplaying their hand in politics, this is the first chapter.”

The Senate Judiciary Committee member discussed the release of the latest FBI supplemental review of decades-old allegations made against Kavanaugh and how Democrats got just what they requested. Graham blasted Senators who have criticized the report as a “sham” and incomplete.

New Jersey Democrat Sen. Robert Menendez called it a “bulls**t investigation” and Massachusetts Sen. Edward Markey called it a “cover-up.”

“To my good friends, is this advise and consent?” Graham responded after watching the video clips. “Your view of the Senate’s role is to take a good man’s life and turn it upside down.”

“That’s not advise and consent, that’s despicable,” Graham said of Democrats’ actions during the confirmation process. “It’s going to blow up in your face — I hope it does.”

Graham continued and seemed to take Ingraham off guard for moment.

“Let me tell it to my friend Bob, what y’all have done is bulls**t,” he added, addressing Menendez and his description of the FBI report.

Discussing the emotional rallying behind Ford, who has accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her at a party over three decades ago when the two were in high school, Ingraham pointed to a speech by Democrat Sen. Charles Schumer of New York and how protesters will continue to harass Republicans over the judge’s confirmation.

“It won’t work for me,” Graham declared.

“I think my colleagues feel offended as to Senator Schumer,” he added. “I’ve never been more disappointed in you and your party.”

“Please don’t use and abuse his woman anymore,” he said of Ford. “Her accusations have not been corroborated. Time, place, location – we don’t know anymore than we did before. The people she named, they don’t know what she’s talking about. It really offends me that Senator Schumer would continue to abuse Dr. Ford. They are the ones who are playing politics.”

“I tell you right now, this is a defining moment for the 2018 election. This is unfair,” Graham said.

The Senator also offered up a bit of advice to President Donald Trump regarding his Supreme Court pick.

“If you appoint a good person who gets destroyed in a despicable manner and you fight for him, people will like you more. Whether you are Trump Republican or Bush Republican, libertarian or vegetarian Republican. We are all together now thanks to this despicable attack on a good man,” he told Ingraham. “Here’s what I want the president to know. Do the right thing and fight for it and you will get rewarded.”

Graham was confident that Kavanaugh’s “going to be on the bench” and had strong words for those who opposed him.

“Those who tried to destroy him are going to be looked at and they are going to pay a price. I think this is going to help us in the midterms. I hate that this is what it took to help Republicans,” Graham said. “To the other side, you made the biggest mistake of your life.”
