With rational Americans growing weary of the miscarriage of justice that has become the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation process, where Senate Democrats are engaged in a dishonest campaign of character assassination of a good and decent man, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson unloaded on Republicans for allowing this clown show to continue.
“This is a bad joke. That’s clear at this point,” Carlson said Monday night. “What’s amazing is Republicans, for some reason, are still playing along.”
Led by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, the GOP will allow all allegations against Kavanaugh to be heard, no matter how frivolous, according to Carlson.
He cited the New Yorker story of a second woman making accusations — which have not been corroborated.
“How many more pieces like it are coming?” Carlson asked. “As many as it takes, no question about that.”
Tying the whole matter to the midterm election, Carlson reminded viewers that they backed President Trump in part to ensure an acceptable Supreme Court nominee will be seated and that may be slipping through their fingers, just as a border wall has.
And he blames Republicans — rightfully so.
“Republicans in the senate don’t really care about you,” Carlson declared. “If they did care about you they would protect you. That’s what you do for people you care about. You’d protect them.”
“If Republicans cared they’d protect you from the foreign invasion our immigration system has become,” he continued. “They’d protect your children from the mandatory propaganda they face in schools that are bankrupting you. They’d protect your privacy and your freedom of speech, freedom from worship from the tech monopolies that seem to crush all of those things.”
With Kavanaugh being put through the ringer by the hate-filled left, Carlson said “they would protect [him] from the obvious smears that are destroying his family and his life.”
“But they won’t protect him,” he accurately stated. “And they won’t protect him for the same reasons they won’t protect you — because it’s hard and embarrassing or they just don’t feel like it.”
And we should not expect things to change anytime soon.
“This could be a socialist country in a few years,” Carlos concluded. “It’s moving that way. A lot of us would like to be protected from that. Our representatives don’t seem to notice. Good luck in November, gentleman.”
Sean Davis, co-founder of The Federalist, nailed it in a series of tweets Monday.
“Senate Republicans have a simple choice: stand up to a coordinated Democrat smear campaign and confirm Kavanaugh, which will energize GOP voters and preserve House/Senate majorities, or buckle under Democrat lies and give up congressional GOP majorities for a decade or more,” Davis tweeted.
“The mood among GOP voters right now is unmistakeable: they are out for blood,” he said in a follow up. “If Kavanaugh is confirmed, they’ll eagerly turn out in November to defeat Democrats and their lies. But if Kavanaugh is jettisoned, they’ll gleefully sit back and let the GOP get destroyed in November.”

And Davis wasn’t alone in that sentiment.
If Republicans do not confirm Kavanaugh, they will get blown away in November in a massive landslide for Democrats
Take a stand. Do what we elected you to do. You cannot allow the sinister left and their mob of power hungry slanderous attacks claim victory
Confirm Kavanaugh!

If Senate Rs refuse to man up & stop coordinated Dem smear campaign once & for all, the consequences reach far beyond the electoral landscape.
This is a cultural & sociopolitical battle of all battles.
The stakes are high for all upstanding Americans, not just GOP candidates. https://t.co/MUslEWezej

This is the absolute truth. If there’s not a vote on Kavanaugh this week, you can kiss the majorities good bye. https://t.co/o1QZxkuisj
