Anti-Christian humor hits new low at Emmy’s: ‘People that thank Jesus are Republicans and ex-crackheads’

This is what the left considers humor in 2018.

The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards featured a cornucopia of liberal vitriol, from racist jokes to jabs at conservatives but the anti-Christian humor is what left many viewers angry.

The opening monologue of the show Monday featured ceremony hosts, Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update” hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che, who insulted Christian conservatives to the delight of the audience.

Che noted that his mom would not be watching the award show because “She says she doesn’t like watching white award shows because you guys don’t thank Jesus enough… The only white people that thank Jesus are Republicans and ex-crackheads.”

The ‘joke’ continued to run as a theme through the night, reinforced when apparently no white person thanked God.

“I don’t even believe in God, but I’m going to thank her tonight,” Thandie Newton, the winner of Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for “Westworld,” said.

The Emmy’s ceremony had the predictable swipes at conservatives during the show, with self-congratulatory speeches about diversity in Hollywood, and even a presentation of “Reparation Emmys,” following Che’s announcement that he wanted to “finally right some of those wrongs.”

But the swipe at Christians was a “low blow” for RNC spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany who slammed the “lowest-rated award show” that has become “irrelevant” during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday.

McEnany was not alone as many Twitter users sounded off on the insult as well.
