According to a Miss America pageant contestant, the most serious issue facing the United States of America isn’t the rise of marauding Antifa fascists or the breakdown of the nuclear family, but rather President Donald Trump’s allegedly divisive ways.
“Donald Trump is the biggest issue our country faces. Unfortunately he has caused a lot of division in our country,” Miss West Virginia, Madeline Collins, said during a Miss America pageant interview contest Friday evening.
Thanks to a rule prohibiting interview responses from extending beyond 20 seconds, Collins didn’t even have to cite any evidence to back her hyperbolic claim. No matter, because she lost the interview contest to another contestant. She did win a lot of praise from liberals on Twitter, though:
Courageous Miss West Virginia Madaline Collins criticized Trump for his causing division in the USA. She knew her comments would cost her. Go pretty Madaline, a proud West Virginian!

Madeline Collins, Miss West Virginia, was asked an onstage question Friday night about what she feels is the most serious issue facing the nation. Answer: #Trump! I’m so proud of #MissWestVirginia! #MissAmericaPageanthttps://t.co/U9atZi8O1i

I need to reiterate that Miss West Virginia standing up on stage during Miss America, his former pageant, and saying that Donald Trump is the biggest issue facing our country is absolutely amazing and she is a bad ass #Resist #MissAmerica2019

But noted by conservatives on Twitter, it was former President Barack Hussein Obama who actually divided the nation. And it just so happens that the divisions he fostered during his eight year reign of terror continue to fester. Why?
Hours before Collins took to the stage to bash the president, Obama delivered a stunningly divisive speech during which he essentially labeled the millions of Americans who identify as Republican as paranoid, divisive and resentful.
“Over the past few decades, the politics of division and resentment and paranoia has unfortunately found a home in the Republican party,” he said.
Listen:
Never mind that it’s Obama’s own paranoid party that believes life on Earth will cease to exist soon because Trump pulled out of the Paris Accord, it’s Obama’s own divisive party that believes anyone who supports Trump is a white supremacist/Nazi and it’s Obama’s own resentful party that believes contemporary white Americans must pay for the sins of past generations.
Obama also falsely suggested Trump has been ginning up divisions in America by ” tapping into America’s dark history of racial and ethnic and religious division.”
“Appealing to tribe, appealing to fear, pitting one group against another, telling people that order and security will be restored if it weren’t for those who don’t look like us or don’t sound like us or don’t pray like we do, that’s an old playbook. It’s as old as time,” he said.
Said the man whose wife once claimed that museums are for white people. According to conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, Obama is also the same man “who tut-tutted actual riots, who suggested without evidence that police departments across America were systemically racist, who declared that a slain black teenager could have been his son [and] who deployed his vice president to say that Mitt Romney wanted to put black people ‘back in chains.'”
This was the exact same sort of disingenuous rhetoric that Obama used for eight years to divide the nation and drum up racial tension. Yet according to him and Miss West Virginia, Trump is the divisive one.
Despite her odd answer, it’s hard to feel any anger at Collins. Unlike Obama, her sin is probably just being greatly misinformed thanks to the Obama-aligned media’s lies. As for Obama’s political sins, they’re so numerous even the devil would be shocked.
