Confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh kicked off with liberals already in meltdown mode over what is sure to be a bitter bipartisan showdown.
The hearings started off with a bang Tuesday morning when President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court pick appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee as protesters had to be removed and Democrats sought to adjourn the hearing pending the examination of thousands of documents released by the administration on the eve of the hearings.

The White House released excerpts of Kavanaugh’s opening statement ahead of the hearings, revealing the nominee’s praise for “superb chief judge” and 2016 Obama nominee, Merrick Garland.
In his opening statement, Kavanaugh will offer praise to his Appeals Court colleague Merrick Garland, calling him a “superb chief judge.” Garland was nominated to the Supreme Court in 2016 by Pres Obama, but GOP Senate leaders blocked hearings and a vote.

“A good judge must be an umpire—a neutral and impartial arbiter who favors no litigant or policy,” Kavanaugh’s prepared statement reads. “I don’t decide cases based on personal or policy preferences. I am not a pro-plaintiff or pro-defendant judge. I am not a pro-prosecution or pro-defense judge. I am a pro-law judge.”
In his opening remarks, Brett Kavanaugh will praise Merrick Garland as a “superb chief judge.” He later adds that if confirmed, he would be “committed to deciding cases according to the Constitution and laws of the U.S. I would always strive to be a team player…”

Liberals were already up in arms that Kavanaugh would bring up Garland’s name.
Kavanaugh praising Merrick Garland after his cabal pulled off a political hit job on this decent, distinguished jurist is one of the most hypocritical and cynical things I’ve ever seen in politics, which is saying a lot #KavanaughConfirmation

I find Kavanugh’s reference to Garland in his opening statements offensive. If he thinks so highly of him, where was he when Garland was being blocked from his rightful hearing? #StopKavanaugh https://t.co/Y4vSVj0REv

Judge Kavanaugh’s opening statement has a shoutout for the “superb chief judge” leading his current appeals court, Merrick Garland — who was lawfully appointed by a President but never got a hearing like this from the Senate majority. pic.twitter.com/ZsoshYBSzU

Brett Kavanaugh praises Merrick Garland in his opening statement. He’ll probably find a way to praise Rosa Park when he votes to gut a woman’s right to choose.

Of course, it isn’t just Garland liberals are focused on. Women dressed in Handmaid’s Tale costumes were already on hand to offer their silent protests.

FIFY: Women who have never once read a decision written by Kavanaugh are all ready for Halloween! https://t.co/TIoExfRnD4

Most people who oppose him couldn’t name a single case he presided over or a single opinion / judgement he rendered.

It must be tiring to be outraged about things all of the time. More so thing you know nothing about.

With the morning not yet over, day one of Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings have already proven to be contentious and promise to be anything but boring.
