Kavanaugh hearings start with a bang, as his opening statement sends frothing libs over-the-edge

Confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh kicked off with liberals already in meltdown mode over what is sure to be a bitter bipartisan showdown.

The hearings started off with a bang Tuesday morning when President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court pick appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee as protesters had to be removed and Democrats sought to adjourn the hearing pending the examination of thousands of documents released by the administration on the eve of the hearings.

The White House released excerpts of Kavanaugh’s opening statement ahead of the hearings, revealing the nominee’s praise for “superb chief judge” and 2016 Obama nominee, Merrick Garland.

Kavanaugh, a circuit judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, is poised to succeed retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy.

“A good judge must be an umpire—a neutral and impartial arbiter who favors no litigant or policy,” Kavanaugh’s prepared statement reads. “I don’t decide cases based on personal or policy preferences. I am not a pro-plaintiff or pro-defendant judge. I am not a pro-prosecution or pro-defense judge. I am a pro-law judge.”

Liberals were already up in arms that Kavanaugh would bring up Garland’s name.

Of course, it isn’t just Garland liberals are focused on. Women dressed in Handmaid’s Tale costumes were already on hand to offer their silent protests.

With the morning not yet over, day one of Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings have already proven to be contentious and promise to be anything but boring.
