ESPN breaks up with Trump-bashing Jamele Hill. Company pays big bucks to shut her up.

Rarely is an individual paid so much just to shut them up.

Jamele Hill, a radically left anti-Trump “sportscaster,” is out at ESPN, as the network has reportedly bought out her reported $2.5 million per year contract.

In the latest sign that the liberal sports network is looking to put politics behind and return to covering sports, Hill is now free to take her Trump Derangement Syndrome to CNN and/or MSNBC.

Hill called the president “a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself [with] other white supremacists.” She also called for a boycott of Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys over the owner’s insistence that his players show respect for the American flag by standing during the national anthem.

“Change happens when advertisers are impacted. If you feel strongly about JJ’s statement, boycott his advertisers,” she tweeted in Oct. 2017.

ESPN suspended Hill for two weeks for making political statements on social media for the boycott call.

The White House was critical of Hill for her remarks about the president.

“That is one of the more outrageous comments that anybody could make and certainly is something that is a fireable offense by ESPN,” press secretary Sarah Sanders said at the time.

ESPN made a mistake of injecting liberal political commentary into its coverage in response to NFL players following in the footsteps of radical left former player Colin Kapernick, who began kneeling during the national anthem to protest alleged police brutality and oppression — especially so after Trump weighed in on the matter to criticize the players.

ESPN president Jimmy Pitaro, who has been running the network since March, is now trying to reset the narrative that the network is not a center-left outfit.

“If you ask me is there a false narrative out there, I will tell you ESPN being a political organization is false,” he said earlier this month. “I will tell you I have been very, very clear with employees here that it is not our jobs to cover politics, purely.”

Pitaro also said ESPN does not plan to air the national anthem ahead of its Monday night NFL telecasts, which is reportedly a continuation of previous seasons.

President Trump ripped ESPN — and CBS — on Friday for trying to avoid controversy while speaking at a fundraiser in Columbus, Ohio, according to Fox News.

“What are they doing?” he asked. “Do they not have a clue? It’s hurt them badly too. It’s continuing. They think they’re doing something smart by not broadcasting the national anthem.”

“That’s CBS and ESPN folks. Enjoy your television,” Trump added.

A scan of social media shows that for many sports fans, Hill’s ouster is a good thing. It seems that, in addition to her race-baiting politics, she just wasn’t all that good at covering sports.
