In spite of how much its downplayed by the left — or because of this fact — stories of good guys with a gun stopping bad guys with a gun never get old.
The most recent incident involved a brave furniture store owner in Indiana, who turned the tables on a would-be robber, sending the suspect fleeing out of the store.
Doyle Stinson, who owns Decor Furniture, told Fox 59 a man pulled a gun on him in July, demanding money — Stinson said he gave the man $10 out of his wallet, but the suspect wanted more and ordering him to the back of the store.
“I know you’ve got more money than that because this is a business,” Stinson said the robber told him. “Once he gets me back to the back room that was a mistake. I go back here, I hit my silent alarm emergency button.”
Not only did he have a silent alarm in the back, he also had a 40 caliber handgun.
Stinson told the Fox affiliate he knew the man’s gun wasn’t loaded, which gave him the opportunity to grab his own weapon.
“I knew when he pulled the hammer back on the automatic weapon there wasn’t a bullet in the chamber,” the store owner said. “I know the sound.”
When he pointed his handgun at the man, the criminal turned tail and ran out of the store. Stinson followed him, drawing a bead on the man, but didn’t shoot because he say a young boy in front of his store.
“If you’re shooting a 40 caliber, it’s going to go through him, through this merchandise, through that window, and what’s beyond that window,” he explained. “He’s got a lot more to live [for] than me. That’s true, because that’s a little boy there.”
Stinson called 911 and briefly chased after the suspect with another business owner, but returned to his store because it was too dangerous, Fox 59 reported. The suspect remains at large.
