Sarah Sanders takes responsibility for mistake on job numbers, but there’s one thing she won’t apologize for

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders took to Twitter late Tuesday to offer an apology for incorrect numbers she provided earlier in the day in comparing African-American job numbers between President Donald Trump and his predecessor, former President Barack Obama.

But Sanders refused to apologize for 700,000 African American jobs that have been created under Trump.

Citing a tweet from the White House Council of Economic Advisers acknowledging a “miscommunication” to her, Sanders did apologize for the incorrect job numbers she provided earlier in the day.

“Correction from today’s briefing: Jobs numbers for Pres Trump and Pres Obama were correct, but the time frame for Pres Obama wasn’t,” she tweeted. “I’m sorry for the mistake, but no apologies for the 700,000 jobs for African Americans created under President Trump.”

And despite the fact that it appeared to be an honest mistake — one that would be publicly corrected —  the anti-Trump media ran with what was characterized as a “White House lie.”

The Washington Post and CNBC lead the charge in protecting Obama’s legacy, with both outlets rushing out fact checks to report that their messiah created 3.2 million African-American jobs in his two terms.

All of this coming as fired White House aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman renewing old rumors that the president was captured on tape using the n-word during his time on “The Apprentice.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Trump called Omarosa a “dog” and a “crazed, crying lowlife,” in response to her secretly taping conversations while in his administration.

Another tidbit of news coming the same day that the left would love to distract from a Rasmussen Reports survey showing Trump’s approval ratings among black voters is up from 18 percent a year ago to 31 percent today.

Turning Point USA’s Candace Owens couldn’t help but rub it in.

“LOL! You guys even tricked @KingJames into speaking out against him—and yet the black approval for Donald Trump just KEEPS trekking upwards,” she said in a tweet. “THIRTY-ONE PERCENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS NOTHING AND NO ONE THAT CAN STOP THE RAPID FREEING OF OUR MINDS.”
