Roseanne Barr, former liberal, breaks Twitter silence to back her 2020 candidate

Actress Roseanne Barr spoke out for the first time in almost three weeks following a self-imposed Twitter break, to express her support for President Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election.

Barr shared a Twitter photo where she is seen wearing a red hat bearing the words “Trump 2020.”

Roseanne, a former liberal who voted for Barack Obama and once supported Bill and Hillary Clinton, made headlines in 2017 when she revealed that she supports Trump after being won over by his pro-America agenda.

Roseanne previously backed Bill Clinton and voted for Barack Obama in 2012. By 2016, Barr had turned on Hillary, citing her lies, scandals surrounding the Clinton Foundation, and her collusion with the mainstream media.

Barr has kept a low profile since being fired in May 2018 for an errant tweet where she suggested that former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett resembled a character from the film “Planet of the Apes.”

There was immediate backlash from liberals, who accused Barr of being racist.

The media drumboat to get Roseanne fired was led by CNN (where Valerie’s daughter, Laura Jarrett, is employed) and by ABC, whose president is black. In record time, ABC canceled Roseanne’s No. 1 rated TV series amid the uproar.

Amid heavy backlash, she apologized but insisted that her tweet was not meant to be racist because she thought the fair-skinned Valerie Jarrett was white.

“If she is watching, I am so sorry you thought I was racist and you thought my tweet was racist,” Barr told Fox News host Sean Hannity. “Because it wasn’t. I am sorry for the misunderstanding that [was] caused [by] my ill-worded tweet…I never meant to hurt anybody or say anything negative about an entire race of people, which I think 30 years of my work can attest to.”

While liberals immediately trashed Barr, Oscar-winning actress Mo’Nique defended her. As BizPac Review has reported, Mo’Nique said she has known Roseanne for years and can personally attest that she is not racist.

Mo’Nique pointed to one example, among many, where Roseanne encouraged and supported her at a time when everyone else in Hollywood turned their backs on her.

While Roseanne Barr’s career, life, and Hollywood legacy have been decimated over her allegedly racist tweet, keep in mind that liberals give fellow liberals a pass when they say or do things that are far more obviously racist on the surface.

Roseanne was fired for one allegedly racist tweet, but the New York Times refuses to fire Sarah Jeong, who repeatedly disparaged whites and called for white genocide in racist tweets spanning several years.

Remember when Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel both did skits in blackface? Where was the liberal outrage?
