Fox News host Laura Ingraham came out swinging against critics who have been “distorting” her views on changing demographics in America.
Ingraham defended her Wednesday night monologue as she disavowed the white nationalists and “one racist freak” who endorsed her remarks on the “massive demographic changes” in the country.
“A message to those who are distorting my views, including all white nationalists and especially one racist freak whose name I will not even mention. You do not have my support, you don’t represent my views and you are antithetical to the beliefs I hold dear,” she said during Thursday’s broadcast of “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News Channel.
Ingraham was likely referring to the former KKK leader David Duke, who tweeted and later deleted his comments praising her.
Liberals had a meltdown over Ingraham’s comments Wednesday in which she complained of “changes that none of us ever voted for, and most of us don’t like” and blamed “both illegal and, in some cases, legal immigration” for the change in the nation’s makeup.
“The purpose of last night’s Angle was to point out that the rule of law – meaning secure borders– is something that used to bind our country together,” she said Thursday.
“And despite what some may be contending – I made explicitly clear that my commentary had nothing to do with race or ethnicity, but rather a shared goal of keeping America safe, and her citizens safe and prosperous,” she continued. “Furthermore, as I have said repeatedly on this show, merit based immigration does wonders for our country’s economy, our way of life and how we define our country – I even said that in my opening thoughts last night.”
The left has selective hearing, however, and chose to launch scathing rebukes against the Fox News host, accusing her of blatant racism and being a “white nationalist.” Triggered liberals conveniently refused to see the valid points Ingraham was making, instead calling for boycotts of her show’s advertisers – again.
Conservative commentator Candace Owens came to Ingraham’s defense, firing off a reality check for the left in a series of blistering tweets calling out their hypocrisy in ignoring the actual racism she personally experienced earlier in the week in Philadelphia.
What I learned from liberals this week:
The definition of racism is Laura Ingraham discussing demographic changes in this country.
It is NOT a mob of white people assembling outside of a diner to kick a black woman out while shouting “race traitors” to an all-black police force.— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) August 9, 2018
If you think taking down Laura Ingraham is more important than boycotting Rahm Emmanuel— you are likely a white liberal who views minorities as your political bargaining chips.
Might want to check that privilege.

In the ridiculous virtue signalling hall of fame, “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski took the prize. She called out Ingraham’s comments as “very trashy, very ugly, and very sad” while she claimed watching former President Ronald Reagan speak about immigration “actually brings me to tears right now.”
The eye-rolls were almost audible.
CNN’s Chris Cuomo smugly attacked Ingraham as well, inviting her to “leave” America if she didn’t like it.
“To turn a phrase back on our us-versus-them friends — if you don’t like what America is, you leave,” Cuomo said on “Prime Time” Thursday.
“This is objectively ugly and I will be damned if I’m going to just listen to the idea that people like my grandparents and waves of people like them — millions in this country — are going to be discounted as some abhorrent aspect of a pure place,” he ranted in a virtue-signalling diatribe.
Ingraham’s attempt to spell out her message, which was clear to anyone not busy being a liberal, still failed to educate the left.
“I want to make it really clear that my concern will continue to remain with the families who have suffered the tragic results of illegal immigration, the children put in dangerous and unfair situations at the border, and all those border agents around the country who work to keep our country safe,” she concluded.
Allergic to facts, liberals refused to accept Ingraham’s clarification.
No. You said EXPLICITLY that even legal immigrants were why America is unrecognizable. You don’t get take backsies. https://t.co/ekm0Ox4BjU

Laura Ingraham complained bitterly about America’s “changing demographics,” and now says she was just referring to secure borders, not race or ethnicity… you know, what “demographics” means. If you’re a company still advertising on her show, I have no idea what you’re thinking.

Sorry, @IngrahamAngle. Too little, too late. This doesn’t pass muster. https://t.co/S30vgdM5lS

Cut the shit Laura. This isn’t some one off. You’ve made a career out of this. I know you’re afraid of losing the few advertisers you have left and all I have to say is: Stay scared, you’re a sinking ship. https://t.co/u9ub4yJdh3

Stop, just stop Laura. Now you’re being completely foolish and anyone smarter than soup won’t believe it for a second . @IngrahamAngle

None of us woke up and had to be Laura Ingraham.
It’s a good day.

Ingraham’s defenders were quick to point out where the real racism and double standards were from.
The left doesn’t even try anymore. She absolutely corrected the statements the following day. You all know that, but it doesn’t fit the narrative. Guilty until proven innocent. Bad idea.
