An inflamed liberal Democrat who follows former President Barack Obama on Twitter shot a man in the butt Monday in Tampa, Florida, after the two got into a tiff on social media regarding politics.
The altercation began that evening when liberal Brian Sebring, 44, a married father of two children, began squabbling on Facebook with Alex Stephens, 46, over an unknown political topic.
During their squabble Stephens allegedly sent “several explicit messages and threats” to Sebring, local authorities confirmed with the Tampa Bay Times.
The liberal Democrat responded by driving to Stephens’ home armed with a Glock and AR-15. The fact that he knew his address suggests the two were friends. They both also reportedly attended the same high school growing up.
Upon arriving, Sebring honked his horn, provoking Stephens to step out of his home and allegedly rush his liberal Democrat friend. That was when Sebring reportedly opened fire with his Glock, hitting Stephens in the thigh and buttocks.
“The victim ran away and the defendant fled the scene,” police said, describing what happened afterward.
Sebring, who’s reportedly a local pizza delivery driver, has since been booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on a relatively meager $9,500 bail.
The media confirmed that Sebring is a registered liberal Democrat. Though Stephens’ political affiliation remains unknown, it was discovered that he’s a felon with a Department of Corrections record. It’s quite possible he’s also a Democrat.
Sebring’s friends have reportedly been critical of his behavior, with one criticizing him on Facebook for throwing his life away over a petty dispute.
“Throw your whole life away including your kids because you can’t handle shit on Facebook. SAD SAD SAD,” one friend reportedly wrote on his Facebook page, adding a ding about “snowflakes.”
Some on social media have responded to Sebring’s actions by accusing him of being a victim of Trump Derangement Syndrome, aka Trump Anxiety Disorder:

Their assumption appears to be that Stephens is a Republican and his dispute with Sebring involved President Donald Trump. It’s certainly possible.
But given as Stephens and Sebring are both idiots — one’s a felon who enjoys making threats on the Internet, and the other’s about to be a felon — it seems more likely the shooting was the result of just good ol’ Liberal Derangement Syndrome, which is quite commonplace these days. SAD SAD SAD.
