Country superstar Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher are adding “another little fish” to their pond.
Underwood announced in a joyous post on social media on Wednesday that the couple, who have a 3-year-old son, Isaiah Michael, are expecting their second child.

“Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond!” she shared. “This has just been a dream come true, with album and with baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited, and just so glad that you guys can share in this with us.”
The singer and winner of American Idol season four in 2005, had recently opened up about having “missed our chance to have a big family,” in an interview with Redbook magazine.
“I’m 35, so we may have missed our chance to have a big family,” Underwood told Redbook. “We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older.”

Readers seemed to misunderstand Underwood’s remarks, thinking she was saying she was too old to have a child when she was actually referring to not having enough time to have a BIG family.
The couple celebrated their 8-year wedding anniversary last month.
Here’s to 8 years, babe! Where does the time go?! I love you today more than yesterday…which was more than the day before…and so on and so forth. Here’s to many more years together! ❤️ you! pic.twitter.com/Ketlzedugy

The baby news followed Underwood announcing the “Cry Pretty Tour 360” that she will launch in May 2019.
“You might be wondering, or asking, ‘Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?'” the singer said in her video. “Well…” she continued, as the camera panned back to reveal a “BABY” balloon arrangement above her head.
“This has just been a dream come true with album and with baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited and just so glad you guys can share in this with us and be a part of this with us,” Underwood said.
The singer admitted to Redbook that “a lot happened in 2017 during my ‘off year,'” including a fall that left her with a broken wrist and 50 stitches in her face.
“I love it when people say, ‘You took a year off.’ I’m like, ‘You know, I had this shoot and this thing, and I was writing this and doing that.’ There was always so much to do, but it was also a very soul-searching year for me.”
She concluded her video announcement Wednesday with a message to her fans: “Love you guys! We will see you on the road in 2019.”
Fans celebrated the great news on Twitter.
