Desperate for any kind of victory over President Donald Trump, the liberal media has resorted to calling on Twitter to punish the president for a stern tweet directed at the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Trump posted a tweet early Monday warning Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to “NEVER,EVER” threaten the United States again.
“To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!” he tweeted.

The tweet was in response to some tough words from Rouhani, who warned Trump not to “play with the lion’s tail,” according to NPR.
Stealing a line from deceased Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, the Iranian president cautioned that “war with Iran is the mother of all wars.” Perhaps, Rouhani may want to do a little research on how Hussein’s “mother of all wars” worked out for him.
Nevertheless, NBC reporter Bill Neely responded to Trump’s tweet by suggesting it “violated Twitter’s rules,” and we don’t believe the reporter is talking about the poor etiquette of using all caps.
Neely stopped short of calling for the president’s Twitter account to be suspended, but suggested that would be the result if anyone else had sent it.
“I’m sure this Tweet is violating Twitter’s rules. As a regular citizen, try posting this about someone and see what happens – I suspect your account would be suspended. Twitter?” he tattle-tweeted.

Where Neely lacked the gumption to tag Twitter in his query, MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle was more than up to the task, tagging CEO Jack Dorsey in a tweet of her own.

Naturally, the media would like nothing more than to see President Trump’s Twitter account suspended, which would effectively take away his means of going around the press to speak directly to the American people.
Twitter refused to delete a tweet last year from the president directed at North Korea, citing the “newsworthiness” of the post, CNET reported.
“We hold all accounts to the same Rules, and consider a number of factors when assessing whether Tweets violate our Rules,” Twitter wrote from its Policy account. “Among the considerations is ‘newsworthiness’ and whether a Tweet is of public interest.
