Kimberly Guilfoyle camp responds to conflicting reports she was forced to leave Fox News

It didn’t take long for the rumor mill to crank up amid the sudden report Kimberly Guilfoyle was leaving Fox News.

Not that the outspoken on-air personality wouldn’t have something to say about that.

The departure comes only months after Guilfoyle starting dating Donald Trump Jr., and the television personality is reportedly going to work at America First Politics, a pro-Trump super PAC, but rumors suggest that her departure was not amicable.

Guilfoyle did not deliver a “goodbye” message to viewers, as she was not on Friday’s episode of “The Five,” being replaced by Katie Pavlich.

She shared a cozy photograph on Instagram with her new beau in Monaco last week:

Great time last weekend in Monaco ?? with Don for our friends big birthday. ?

The week before, the couple was in Paris, France, so who has time for a cable talk show when busy jet-setting around the world?

But the tongues were wagging, nonetheless. Citing prerequisite anonymous sources (three), Huffington Post’s Yashar Ali claimed “Guilfoyle did not leave the cable news network voluntarily.”

The Daily Mail also reported that Guilfoyle was “unceremoniously dumped” from the network.

CNN, the anti-Trump cable network, weighed in to claim that there were “real ethical concerns,” as seen in a tweet from Brian Stelter:

A terse statement released Friday afternoon by Fox News didn’t help matters.

“Fox News has parted ways with Kimberly Guilfoyle,” a network spokesperson said.

Guilfoyle’s lawyer, Thomas Clare, dashed the rumors though, telling the Daily Caller that Guilfoyle’s exit was amicable and had been discussed for “an extended period of time.”

“As Fox News noted in statement earlier today, Ms. Guilfoyle and the network have agreed to part ways. That agreed-upon parting of ways has not yet been finalized, has been under discussion for an extended period of time, and is entirely mutual and amicable,” Clare said in an email.

A source close to Guilfoyle told Daily Caller that “any assertion that she was pushed out of Fox is false.”

“Fox has known for a while that she was planning on moving to the America First PAC and her leaving Fox is 100 percent voluntary,” the source insisted. “She is very excited about her new challenge and is appreciative that she had a great run with Fox News.”
