‘Outnumbered’ host rips Cohen over secret Trump tape report: Wouldn’t hire him ‘if rotting in a Turkish prison’

Anti-Trump forces out to destroy President Donald Trump are all in a tizzy over a New York Times report that the president’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, had a secretly recorded conversation with his client, which is now in the hands of the FBI.

But the panel of Fox News’ “Outnumbered” likened Cohen to adult film star Stormy Daniel’s attention-seeking lawyer, Michael Avenatti, to say that, even if rotting in a Turkish prison, they would reject their services.

In the tape, the men are allegedly discussing payments to a former Playboy model who claimed she had an affair with Trump. Rudy Giuliani, now a member of Trump’s legal team, confirmed to The Times that the recording existed, but he insisted the payment was never made.

Co-host Kennedy questioned how important this really is the grand scheme of things, before asking, as an after thought, “If you can’t trust your cleaner, who can you trust?”

“Who here would actually hire Michael Avenatti or Michael Cohen after the last three months?” asked the token male, Chris Bedford, the editor in chief at The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“If I was rotting in a Turkish prison… and perhaps had hours to live, I’d still be going through the Rolodex,” answered Kennedy.

As Kennedy noted, one has to wonder what would prompt Cohen to secretly record his own client, but one this is certain, the anti-Trump crowd and their media allies could not be more thrilled that he did —  assuming the tape contains something damning.

Naturally, CNN is leading the charge to suggest that, according to the prerequisite anonymous source, there are more tapes.

“There are MORE recordings Michael Cohen had of the president in his records that were seized by the FBI, according to Rudy Giuliani and a source with knowledge of Cohen’s tapes,” CNN producer AnneClaire Stapleton tweeted.

New York Post columnist John Podhoretz weighed in with his own conspiracy theory.

“This is a leak from Cohen. This is a demand for a pardon,” he tweeted.

All in all, the breaking news is sure to make for an interesting news cycle over the weekend:
