Despite enduring much criticism over his summit with Vladimir Putin, President Trump said he looks forward to having a second meeting with the Russian president.
The president came under bipartisan fire after appearing to agree with Putin that the Kremlin did not interfere in the 2016 U.S. elections. Trump later walked back the remarks, saying he misspoke and that he does accept the assessments from American intelligence agencies.

“The Summit with Russia was a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media,” Trump tweeted Thursday.
The Summit with Russia was a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media. I look forward to our second meeting so that we can start implementing some of the many things discussed, including stopping terrorism, security for Israel, nuclear……..

The president noted that he looked forward to a second meeting with Putin as the two leaders move forward and implement “some of the many things discussed.”
….proliferation, cyber attacks, trade, Ukraine, Middle East peace, North Korea and more. There are many answers, some easy and some hard, to these problems…but they can ALL be solved!

Though the White House has not yet commented on a second meeting with Putin, some have expressed their support for the idea.
Republican Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa thinks another meeting would be a good idea – but that the president should not go it alone, as before.
“I’m not saying anything against the president. But I would say we just have to be cautious because what’s to stop Putin from saying: ‘Oh yeah he agreed to all this stuff,’” Ernst said Thursday, Politico reported.
Although the president acknowledged the mistake in his comments, he has since turned back to his hard-line against the media.
The Fake News Media is going Crazy! They make up stories without any backup, sources or proof. Many of the stories written about me, and the good people surrounding me, are total fiction. Problem is, when you complain you just give them more publicity. But I’ll complain anyway!

The Fake News Media wants so badly to see a major confrontation with Russia, even a confrontation that could lead to war. They are pushing so recklessly hard and hate the fact that I’ll probably have a good relationship with Putin. We are doing MUCH better than any other country!

Trump even shouted ut a thanks to Fox News for airing video clips proving he “recognized Russian Meddling MANY TIMES,”
“Trump recognized Russian Meddling MANY TIMES.” Thank you to @foxandfriends and @FoxNews for actually showing the clips. The Fake News wants no part of that narrative! Too bad they don’t want to focus on all of the ECONOMIC and JOBS records being set.

And while liberals had a meltdown over what former CIA chief John Brennan called Trump’s “treasonous” meeting with Putin, it seems the great majority of conservatives gave the president high marks.
In a joint poll by Axios and SurveyMonkey, 79 percent of conservatives approve of how Trump handled the press conference in Helsinki, Finland. Not surprisingly, 91 percent of Democrats disapproved of the meeting.
Democrats on the otherhand can’t belive their ears:

He’s so compromised that it’s scary. Putin has something so awful on him that he’s willing to tear America apart before it’s exposed. The fake conservatives are complicit.
