Sharyl Attkisson calls out ‘vitriolic’ John Brennan with one stinging question

Investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson rebuked former CIA Director John Brennan for his attack on President Donald Trump.

Brennan went off on the president following a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, calling  Trump’s comments “nothing short of treasonous.”

The former intel chief was one of many who condemned Trump for appearing to praise the Russian president during the press conference in Helsinki while criticizing the U.S. government and FBI over the investigation into alleged election meddling.

Attkisson wondered aloud what someone like Brennan, who has repeatedly shown his contempt for the president, would do with the power he had at his disposal.

Many agreed the author and journalist had raised a very good question.

Some fired back at Attkisson, and left her expertly fielding the backlash.

This is not the first time Attkisson has called out Brennan as she shared a scathing perspective on a rant by the ex-CIA director last month following the G-7 summit.

The Emmy award-winning investigative journalist continued to defend her stance on Monday and tweeted again a short time after her original tweet against Brennan.

Many Twitter users joined Attkisson in her take-down of Brennan.
