Sarah Palin took to social media Tuesday to rip “evil” comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, who she said “duped” her into believing he was a disabled U.S. veteran to secure an interview.
“Yup – we were duped,” Palin wrote on her Facebook page. “Ya’ got me, Sacha. Feel better now?”
In noting that she was among others in the public eye who had “fallen victim” to his “evil, exploitive, sick ‘humor,” Palin named CBS and Showtime as enablers of a stunt that is disrespectful of wounded veterans.
“I join a long list of American public personalities who have fallen victim to the evil, exploitive, sick ‘humor’ of the British ‘comedian’ Sacha Baron Cohen, enabled and sponsored by CBS/Showtime,” Palin said.
The former governor of Alaska said she had been approached to participate in a “’legit opportunity’ to honor American Vets.”
“For my interview, my daughter and I were asked to travel across the country where Cohen (I presume) had heavily disguised himself as a disabled US Veteran, fake wheelchair and all,” Palin wrote.
Best known for the “Borat” character, Cohen has a new satirical series titled, “Who is America?”
A teaser for the new show features an “undercover” Cohen asking Dick Cheney to sign a waterboard kit.
“Sure. That’s a first,” the former vice president responds. “That’s the first time I ever signed a waterboard.”

But imitating a wounded veteran is a stunt Palin accurately called “truly sick.”
“Mock politicians and innocent public personalities all you want, if that lets you sleep at night, but HOW DARE YOU mock those who have fought and served our country,” she wrote.
Displaying her trademark feistiness, Palin challenged “shallow Sacha boy” to air the footage, and challenged his enablers, CBS and Showtime, to “donate all proceeds to a charitable group that actually respects and supports American Vets.”
“Here is my challenge, shallow Sacha boy: go ahead – air the footage. Experience tells us it will be heavily edited, not pretty, and intended to humiliate,” she said.
And make no mistake, the Palin family was not pleased with Cohen’s deception.
“By the way,” Palin said in closing, “my daughter thinks you’re a piece of ****. Every honorable American Vet should feel the same.”
