‘He should have been fired for that.’ Huckabee blasts Scarborough for ‘acts of terror’ on Trump supporters.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee slammed MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and said he should have been fired for derogatory comments about President Trump’s supporters.

Huckabee held media personalities like Scarborough to account, noting that disagreements between political parties are not destroying the country but attacks on Trump supporters, which have escalated in recent weeks.

“When you have anchors like Joe Scarborough saying that anyone who voted for and/or supported the President is a racist––that is a ridiculous statement on its face,” Huckabee said on “Fox & Friends” on Saturday.

“He should’ve been fired for that. Certainly suspended and forced to apologize,” he added, referring to the MSNBC host’s derogatory remarks on the air a few weeks ago.

He also blasted Donny Deutsch who compared Trump voters to Nazis during a discussion on the border and family separation.

“When you start going to that level, that extreme of attempting to dehumanize the other side, things are truly spiraling out of control,” Huckabee said.

The left’s attacks on conservatives and Trump supporters have been ongoing since the election of the president, and have been seen recently in incidents like the pro-Trump teenager who was attacked in a restaurant for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat. Huckabee’s own daughter, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, was asked to leave a restaurant in Virginia last month because she works for the president.

“They’ve tried to not only delegitimize the election itself but they’ve tried to commit acts of terror,” Huckabee said of the left’s tactics. “When you try to change people’s behavior by intimidation, by threats of violence and by actual violence, and by boycotting them and by taking away their liberty, that’s terrorism.”
