Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti claimed “something isn’t right” after a long-planned meeting was cancelled.

The lawyer for the porn star expressed his frustration Sunday in a tweet explaining that federal prosecutors had cancelled a meeting planned “for weeks” because the press found out about it.

“We have bent over backwards to accommodate them,” he wrote. “This is unheard of. We remain willing to cooperate but something isn’t right…”

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, was reportedly scheduled to meet prosecutors in New York on Monday about a potential grand jury appearance, according to the Washington Post.

In response to a subpoena, the adult film actress and her lawyer were reportedly handing over documents in cooperation with prosecutors investigating President Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen and relating to the $130,000 payment she received from him, according to a source.

The porn star, who filed a federal defamation lawsuit again the president in April, is suing Trump and Cohen over the validity of a non-disclosure agreement she signed in 2016 after an alleged affair with Trump about a decade earlier, which Trump denies.

In another tweet on Sunday, Avenatti shared an email he sent to federal prosecutors following the cancellation.

Here is the email that we sent to the US Attys office after they first stated their intention to cancel the meeting because they were concerned about a few cameras outside. They don’t appear to have the stomach for a case of this magnitude unfortunately.https://t.co/79aGrJHqQd

“They don’t appear to have the stomach for a case of this magnitude,” he tweeted.

“We believe canceling the meeting because the press has now caught wind of it is ridiculous,” Avenatti said in the email.  “We do not think it was any secret that at some point you were going to meet with my client. And the fact that cameras may be present outside of your office is of no moment. Further, this fact, while annoying, has no impact on the substance of the meeting, which should be the focus.”

The US attorney’s office reportedly had no comment on Sunday according to the Washington Post.
