Jimmy Fallon pledged a donation to a group aiding migrant children after President Trump scolded him to “be a man” on Twitter.

The late night television host has pledged to give money to the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services in “honor of the President’s tweet,” he announced Sunday.
In honor of the President’s tweet I’ll be making a donation to RAICES in his name.

Trump blasted the comedian for saying he regretted having him on his show during the presidential election campaign. Fallon told the Hollywood Reporter that he “would do it differently” if he could, referring to the 2016 interview with Trump when he messed up the then-candidate’s hair on television, sparking a backlash.
“I’m sorry if I made anyone mad,” Fallon told the Hollywood Reporter, adding that he “made a mistake.”

Trump called out the TV host, who has generally refused to join others like Steven Colbert, host of the CBS’ “Late Show,” and Jimmy Kimmel, of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in making Trump an almost nightly part of their monologues.
“Jimmy Fallon is now whimpering to all that he did the famous ‘hair show’ with me (where he seriously messed up my hair), & that he would have now done it differently because it is said to have ‘humanized’ me-he is taking heat,” the president tweeted Sunday.
.@jimmyfallon is now whimpering to all that he did the famous “hair show” with me (where he seriously messed up my hair), & that he would have now done it differently because it is said to have “humanized” me-he is taking heat. He called & said “monster ratings.” Be a man Jimmy!

Fallon responded with the pledge to RAICES, a non-profit group based in Texas which offers free and low-cost legal services to immigrant families.
It’s hard to #resist supporting reuniting families. Thanks, Jimmy! This is a tremendous honor. A hugely winning choice! #nohumanisillegal https://t.co/ZTmFjbr5GJ

The organization started a fund recently to help reunite immigrant children and parents in the wake of the Trump administration’s zero tolerance border policy that resulted in migrant children being separated from parents who were detained for breaking the law by entering the country illegally.
On behalf of the famlies we can serve thanks to your generosity, we say THANK YOU. We will keep fighting. We will keep working. You make it possible. #EndFamilySeparation #FamiliesBelongTogether https://t.co/0wzHYPurfj pic.twitter.com/FbOVqgt7Lv

Trump signed an executive order last week reversing the policy.
Liberals naturally applauded Fallon’s announcement.

But he appeared to anger others on Twitter who were disappointed that he chose to get political.
Jimmy, you were one of the few that stayed above the fray! Hate to see you taking a side on this.

Whatever this means.
Used to like you, especially when you were fair and funny, but you’ve stooped to the low that all of Hollywood has stooped to. Loved your times with Justin.
Sad. As our great #President said, “Be a man.”

What a loser you are still apologizing for having Trump on your show two years ago. ?
— Mark Dice (@MarkDice) June 25, 2018
In honor of your bias, this Nielson household will not watch a second of your show. Boom.
— DrunkMohammad (@DrunkAllah) June 25, 2018
Wow, I truly thought that you were different. You are now, officially, one of them. I wish that you would have considered helping our legal homeless, orphaned children. But no, you chose the illegal immigrants, as is your right. My right is to no longer give you the time of day.
