Having declared herself arbiter of moral behavior in America, “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezsinki has been practically stalking Ivanka Trump over President Donald Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy toward illegal immigration.
But when the first daughter finally picked up the phone and called Brzezsinki, the coward didn’t take the call!
The stunning irony here is MSNBC ran a graphic on screen declaring “Ivanka Kept Quiet…” as Brzezinski admitted that she refused to take her call.
Brzezinski has been blasting Trump’s oldest daughter 24/7 on MSNBC and on social media, stating on air that she trolled Ivanka’s Instagram page after Ivanka posted a photo touting “date night” with 6-year-old daughter Arabella.
“I’ve been speaking to her, posting comments on her Instagram, so I can be sure that she reads them,” Brzezinski said. “Letting her know that we really need to hear from her — as his spokesperson on families and mothers and babies — to tell the world that she believes this policy is wrong.
“That somebody does need to step up to this president, somebody does need to come forward and tell him that this is inhumane. Please, be the person….”
Ivanka did take to Twitter Wednesday to thank her father for his executive action to keep illegal immigrant families together, and to call on Congress to do its job.
“Thank you [President Trump] for taking critical action ending family separation at our border. Congress must now act + find a lasting solution that is consistent with our shared values;the same values that so many come here seeking as they endeavor to create a better life for their families,” she tweeted.

And when Brzezinski had the opportunity “to hear from her,” she hid under her desk.
“Yesterday she called,” the MSNBC co-host said of Ivanka. “I guess maybe she was making calls, making the rounds to talk about this executive order. But the question still is — where are the girls? Where are the toddlers? What about these thousands of children?”
All of which proves the end game for the left is complaining, not communicating.
When fiancé Joe Scarborough asked if she talked to Ivanka, his sweetheart replied that she did not, justifying her cowardice by saying she “lost trust” in Ivanka.
Instead, she sent a text laying out ground rules for any conversation.
“I wanted to talk to her,” she said. “But I wanted to make it very clear the parameters of this conversation would be very clear and that I wasn’t going to be just trusting any more.”
In the end, as Brzezinski made clear, the anti-Trump left are chomping at the bit to get Ivanka on the record opposing her father and the first daughter isn’t about to fall for that trap.
Brzezinski even kept up the attacks on social media AFTER she said on national TV that she ditched Ivanka’s call.
