‘Never’: Fox News sends a powerful message after Hogg’s second attack on Laura Ingraham

With Parkland, Fla., media darling David Hogg going for a second bite at boycotting Fox News host Laura Ingraham’s advertisers, the network said in a statement that it will not “give in” to intimidation tactics.

In defending Ingraham, Fox News was clear in its take on these efforts.

“Laura Ingraham’s very personal, on-the-ground commitment to the plight of impoverished and abandoned children — specifically in Guatemala —  speaks for itself,” a Fox News spokesperson said in a statement. “So too does her strong belief in a commonsense, legal immigration system, which will continue to be a focus of her show.

“FOX News will never tolerate or give in to attempts to silence diverse viewpoints by agenda-driven intimidation efforts.”

Ingraham, an adoptive mom of three children, including a little girl from Guatemala, came under fire for saying detention centers for illegal alien children are “essentially summer camps” because they get free housing, food, education, and entertainment.

At the forefront of the attack was Hogg. With the gun control advocate’s 15 minutes of fame quickly expiring, he took to Twitter to call for another boycott, offering a list of advertisers to target.

But then, Fox News stood by Ingraham after Hogg’s original boycott that failed. The student did convince a number of advertisers to drop her popular nightly cable news show, “The Ingraham Angle.”

Hogg was miffed because Ingraham mocked him by tweeting he “whines” about being rejected by four colleges that he had applied to, but Fox News said it “cannot and will not allow voices to be censored.”
