The charade is over. Senator Chuck Schumer just proved that he’s using illegal-immigrant children as pawns to score political points rather than actually solve the longstanding border crisis.
On Tuesday, Schumer dismissed proposed GOP legislation that would keep illegal-alien families together at the border, suggesting he basically wants President Trump to allow wholesale amnesty via an executive order.
“There are so many obstacles to legislation and when the president can do it with his own pen, it makes no sense,” Schumer told reporters. “Legislation is not the way to go here. Unacceptable additions have bogged down every piece of legislation we’ve done.”
Schumer and Democrats don’t want to negotiate to fix the border crisis and keep illegal-alien “families” together, preferring instead to use the migrant children as hostages in order to get amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Schumer’s rejection of proposed GOP legislation confirms speculation that the Democrats are using the border crisis — which they blithely ignored during Obama’s 8-year presidency — to foment manufactured outrage in order to attack President Trump.
Senator Schumer wants to keep the focus and the pressure on Trump instead of doing his job as a legislator by passing bipartisan laws to fix the problem.
“Let’s hope the president does the right thing and solves the problem, which he can do,” Schumer said. “That’s the simple, easiest and most likely way this will happen.”
Democrats — who have slammed President Trump as authoritarian for signing executive orders they didn’t like — now want him now to unilaterally “fix” the border issue because it advances their political goals, which is a borderless nation overrun by illegals.
Twitter reacted by pointing out Chuck Schumer’s hypocrisy. “Schumer doesn’t want to help the kids he says are living in a ‘concentration camp,'” Daniel Tobin noted.

Abortion advocate Rachel Maddow — who has never cried for the black children shot every day in Chicago (which has the nation’s strictest gun-control laws) — sobbed while discussing children being housed in taxpayer-funded detention centers.
P.S. – Normally when people cry, their eyes tear up, so Maddow’s tearless sobs are an interesting spectacle.

While Schumer insists that “legislation is not the way to go,” he’s co-sponsoring legislation with Democrat Dianne Feinstein called the “Keep Families Together Act.”
Naturally, the proposed bill does not include funding for a border wall (which would definitely help keep families together).

Where was the liberal outrage when this happened during Obama two terms?
The media won’t show you this, but these are photos taken during President Obama’s term of detention facilities in 2014. Why was there no outrage when he was doing it? What is so different now? pic.twitter.com/elyzNtUVV6
