With actor Tim Allen’s canceled hit TV series “Last Man Standing” being picked up by Fox after ABC dropped the show known for its conservative commentary, rumors have been floated online that “Roseanne” may also move to Fox.
Meanwhile, Netflix is not being shy about going after “Roseanne” viewers, plugging their own working class family show, “One Day At A Time,” as an alternative.
Reminder: @OneDayAtATime is a sitcom about a tight-knit, working class family that tackles extremely topical social issues in a smart and innovative way. Ya know, if you’re suddenly looking for a show like that… pic.twitter.com/er4Fx6Cxb6

With the recent announcement Netflix signed Barack and Michelle Obama to a multi-year deal, it’s safe to say the entertainment company’s not likely to be in the running to pick up “Roseanne.”
The reboot was dropped by ABC after actress Roseanne posted an ill-advised tweet comparing Obama royalty member Valerie Jarrrett to a character in the “Planet of the Apes.”
The tweet was seen as racist by many, although Barr later noted on Twitter that she was unaware that Jarrett, who was born in Iran, was African-American.
And while fans of the show may be encouraged by the rumors, Barr didn’t appear to be supportive of a possible move to Fox, as seen in a response to a tweet from Oliver McGee trying to rally people around the idea.
McGee, a member of the National Diversity Coalition For Trump, asked followers to re-tweet him if they like the idea, but Barr responded to effectively say thanks, but no thanks.
no, but thanks for your support!

The actress also responded to another tweet to squash a rumor that Fox had agreed to pick up the show.
not true

Adding to the roadblock of “Roseanne” moving to another network is a report from CNN that ABC is “talking about a way to bring a version of the show back — without its namesake Roseanne Barr.”
The network cited a TMZ report that ABC executives are looking at “the possibility of re-branding the show and focusing on the character Darlene instead of Roseanne.”
Portrayed by actress Sara Gilbert, Darlene Conner is the Roseanne character’s single mom daughter.
Gilbert, an executive producer of the “Roseanne” reboot, was quick to distance herself from Barr’s tweet.
“Roseanne’s recent comments about Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show. I am disappointed in her actions to say the least,” she tweeted.

CNN cited two anonymous sources who said talks with production company Carsey-Werner, which owns the show, are preliminary, but the idea is said to be enticing to ABC.
TMZ reported that they were told actor John Goodman is “very interested” in a reboot of the reboot.
Trump supporters Diamond and Silk weighed in on possibility of such a spin-off.
“A Roseanne show without Roseanne is just like Spaghetti without the sauce; It won’t work! @ABCNetwork should Bring back @therealroseanne and give her the opportunity to use her show as a teachable moment!” the ladies tweeted.

There’s some question over Barr owning the rights to the show and sharing in the profits of a spin-off, but here’s a sampling of other responses to “Roseanne” without Roseanne from Twitter:

You can’t have a Roseanne show without Roseanne. That’s like having Bon Jovi without Jon Bon Jovi.

I will not watch a Roseanne show without Roseanne. She created that show and the characters. Shame on @abcnetwork for even thinking this was okay and @THEsaragilbert for even considering it
