The left is becoming so unhinged in its zealotry that conservatives run the risk of being attacked for little more than appearing in the public, as Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren learned over the weekend.
Sunday brunch with her mother at a rooftop restaurant in Minneapolis turned ugly for Lahren when she was accosted by fellow patrons, the incident culminating with a woman throwing a drink at the opinionated conservative pundit — to the approval of others on hand.

In another clip, taken before the drink was thrown, Lahren is seen engaged in a heated exchange with a woman sitting at a table.

In a third video, a social justice warrior is heard hurling obscenities at Lahren, even questioning her right to be in the restaurant.
“F*ck that b*tch! F*ck this ho!” the man yelled. “Racist *ss b*tch. Why you even out here?”

The bouncer seen in the video, identified as Jeremy Jackson, said Lahren noticed the group “scowling at her,” saying “Just another day in the life” as she walked by them, People Magazine reported, citing The Blast.
Lahren left the restaurant after the bouncer asked to separate her from the crowd and the woman who threw the drink, which appeared to be water, was reportedly escorted out.
“Later.”
The incident was so troubling that even those on the left who have contributed to the toxic polarization of our politics in post-Obama America spoke against it. People such as comedian Kathy Griffin, the woman who posed with a fake severed head of President Donald Trump.
“I couldn’t disagree more with @TomiLahren, but I don’t think it’s cool to resort to physical actions to make your point. The first amendment is a beautiful thing – use it,” she tweeted.

Incidentally, as Washington Examiner’s Siraj Hashmi shared, Lahren came to Griffin’s defense over the severed head stunt — sort of.

Here’s a sampling of other responses to the despicable behavior seen on the video, coming from people on both sides of the aisle who may not agree with Lahren and her outspoken style.
You don't have to like or respect Tomi Lahren to realize this is deplorable behavior that should be condemned by all sides. https://t.co/kJ4X1Fk8cQ

@TomiLahren I may not agree with a lot of views you have but I enjoy the fact that you have them and I live in a country where you are allowed to do so.

Can’t stomach her but this behavior doesn’t work… we need to elevate our position not throw drinks at her. Nah.

Everyone who follows us knows that we are no @TomiLahren fans, we believe she is bad for the conservative movement, stands for nothing, and has nothing to offer.
But this is wrong and disgusting! End of story. https://t.co/VrbC8I3AaQ

Not that everyone was supportive. In fact, not only did some encourage more of the deplorable behavior, they upped the ante in their call for violence.

Lahren responded by thanking those who showed support, adding that she will discuss the incident Wednesday morning on “Fox & Friends.”
“I appreciate the words of support- even from those who normally dislike me. Free speech is a gift- no need to resort to that kind of attack. I’ll discuss the restaurant incident on @foxandfriends tomorrow morning,” she tweeted.

On FOX & Friends, Lahren added:
“This was something that was embarrassing for me and embarrassing for my family. At the end of the day, I’m a person too. I do get humiliated and embarrassed just like anyone else, but I’m tough, my family is tough, we can handle it. I think those that threw the water, that were applauding and laughing about it, wanted to get their 15 mins of fame by making a video of me. I think looking back, those are going to be the ones who are embarrassed by their actions, I think their parents raised them better. And furthermore you don’t have to like me, you don’t have to agree with my political opinions, but you don’t have the right to throw things at me. Is that the point that we got in this country that you can’t disagree with someone civilly without resorting to something like that? It’s really disheartening. But again, I’m tough -I can handle it.”
“There are people that normally detest me and they are coming to my defense at least in this incident, maybe moving forward, those who thought it was fun to throw water at me, or to antagonize others with my view points, maybe they’ll see it’s not the cool thing to do because if Kathy Griffin of all people is sticking up for you and defending you, hey, I’ll take it.”
