The story of the 30-year-old man living rent-free with his parents for more than a decade who refused to leave got worse when it was learned that the freeloader has procreated.
The New York Supreme Court ruled on Monday that Michael Rotondo must vacate his parents’ home, according to CBS News. Christina and Mark Rotondo took their son to court after spending several months trying to evict him.
“I am just so outraged,” Rotondo declared outside the courtroom, after State Supreme Justice Donald Greenwood ruled it was time for the grown man to hit the bricks, the Daily Mail reported.
The son’s defense was that a previous case ruled that six months should be given to allow a person time to move, but Greenwood ruled that was an “outrageous” amount of time, according to the British tabloid.
Michael Rotondo’s response was to say it was “outrageous” to evict him.

He spoke with the Daily Mail and said his strained relationship with his parents came after he lost a bitter custody battle for his son.
Rotondo did not reveal how old his son is, but said he was not married to the mother and had never been in a relationship with the woman who now has full custody.
And to think an unemployed 30-year-old deadbeat living with mom and dad would not be given custody of a child — what is this country coming to?
He told the Daily Mail his parents told him he must get a job and health insurance.
Rotondo countered that he already had a job: trying to regain custody of his son. But that gig does not include financial compensation.
His parents stopped buying his food and paying for his cell phone, but offered to pay for his health insurance. Rotondo declined the generosity because it may jeopardize his custody appeal, which he filed as a “poor person” to have his court fees waived.
Rotondo, who was acting as his own attorney — go figure — was not given a specific date to be out and has the option to pursue an appeal. Given the circumstances, if he’s halfway good at being an attorney as he is a freeloader, he can drag this out for some time.
Interestingly, while most social media users sided with the parents, there was also support for the grown son.

Bottom line here: it’s his parents fault their son living with them. When he graduated from high school, should have been given the options of college, military or a job. They didn’t. But he’s their son and they brought him into this world. I wouldn’t evict him. I would love him.

I’m with the Judge, with mental issues or not he needs to get out of the house and get a life…enough for these poor parents to support such a lazy grown man. So ridiculous and is so sad for his parents to have their heart broken like this, I hate ungrateful people!

These parents need to get the police and have this lazy son removed per the Judge’s order before he kills his parents. I think he could be dangerous since he hell-bent on staying there. His parents have done more than enough for him… https://t.co/tuNs8Xb7AP https://t.co/m6jJtU3uk1
