Andrew McCabe’s attorney demanded President Trump “stop lying” as he ripped into him for criticism of the former FBI Deputy Director.
Michael Bromwich, a lawyer for McCabe, rebuked Trump on Friday after the president again slammed the former senior FBI official who was fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions earlier this year.
“What prompts you to defame the McCabes every two weeks or so?” Bromwich tweeted.

“There was no quid pro quo, as you falsely suggest. There was no misuse of campaign funds, as you have repeatedly and falsely suggested. You need to stop lying about the McCabes,” he wrote, responding to Trump’s tweet on Friday calling for McCabe to be investigated.

Earlier this year, Bromwich had reacted to another of Trump’s tweets, saying he would not respond to every “childish, defamatory, disgusting and false” tweet from the president about McCabe.
We will not be responding to each childish, defamatory, disgusting &
false tweet by the President. The whole truth will come out in due
course. But the tweets confirm that he has corrupted the entire
process that led to Mr. McCabe’s termination and has rendered it

McCabe was the subject of a criminal referral from the Justice Department’s inspector general before being fired, just days before his pension was to go into effect.
Trump has continued hammering McCabe and questioned why he was not under investigation for donations to his wife Jill McCabe’s campaign by top Clinton ally and former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat who unsuccessfully ran for Virginia state Senate.
