Following the mass shooting at a Texas high school Friday, the survivor of another school shooting rushed to the mic of social media to shamelessly make that morning’s tragic events all about himself.
Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting survivor David Hogg, who’s used the fame he garnered from the Parkland mass shooting three months ago to endlessly wax ineloquent about gun control, just couldn’t resist acting like a self-centered jerk, apparently.
“We are fighting for you,” he tweeted at 11:43 am, shortly after news of the shooting at Santa Fe High School went viral on the Internet:

No, sorry, but neither he nor his peers are fighting for the victims of the latest mass shooting.
The suspect in the latest shooting used a revolver and a shotgun, meaning Hogg’s proposed “assault weapons” ban would’ve stopped nothing.
The suspect likewise obtained the revolver and shotgun from his father’s stash. Since his father purchased the weapons legally, this means neither universal background checks nor waiting periods would have stopped the shooter either.
The suspect had also deployed several explosives around the high school. What could Hogg have possibly done to stop this — banned anything that could be used to make an explosive, including household chemicals!?

While Hogg’s motives might be noble — he claims he just wants to put an end to school shootings — his unrealistic proposals, obnoxious rhetoric and self-centered behavior continually betray him.

I will be more interested to see if the shooter was bullied or had any mental deficiencies. Maybe he had no parenting. Maybe he was on a watch list and nothing was done about it. These are the things we need to focus on. Fix the person, prevent the crime.

Instead of piping down, Hogg doubled down, tweeting the following about 10 minutes later: “Get ready for two weeks of media coverage of politicians acting like they give a shit when in reality they just want to boost their approval ratings before midterms.”
What a bunch of malarkey. What supporters of the Second Amendment are preparing themselves for are at least two additional weeks of Hogg and his allies in the Democrat Party and the liberal mainstream media waging war on their basic constitutional rights.
Or, as one clever patriot put it, “Get ready for more socialist Hogg dribble.”

Even after all the evidence, the kid still believes his silly proposals would stop mass shootings. I guess the saying “old dogs can’t learn new tricks” is wrong. It’s misinformed young dogs like Hogg who can’t learn them!
