Green Beret sniper and former UFC fighter Tim Kennedy enjoyed a relaxing weekend waterboarding himself to support Gina Haspel, President Trump’s nominee for CIA director. It was such a non-tortuous experience for Kennedy that he leisurely feasted on tacos and wine afterward.
Haspel has been slammed by Senator John McCain and (other) Democrats for opposing her nomination, citing her role in the use of waterboarding to extract key intel from radical Islamic terrorists after the 9/11 attacks.
Kennedy posted a 45-minute video of himself getting waterboarded on Facebook to prove that the controversial interrogation technique is not “torture,” but merely uncomfortable.
**Warning: graphic video**
We did this yesterday for almost 45 minutes. The average pour was anywhere from 10 to 60 sec. You can try to hold your breath but the water pools at the back of your sinuses running down your eyes and nose. Plain and simple. It’s not torture. #CIA #GinaHaspel #waterboarding pic.twitter.com/XtFLYoUgsw

Tim joked that after he had his “baptism of freedom,” he and his pals enjoyed a nice meal of tacos and wine.
“We did this yesterday for almost 45 minutes. The average pour was anywhere from 10 to 60. They wouldn’t tell me when they were going to put the towel on they would just smash it on my face and start pouring. You can’t hold your breath while they do it because the water runs down your sinuses. The water run through your eyes, down your nose, and pools at the back of your throat.
It was a baptism in freedom. It’s not torture!!!! Hell we had elk tacos and wine afterwards. Wake up people.”
Kennedy said he hopes his waterboarding video will calm people down about the use of this controversial interrogation technique, which has since been banned amid public uproar.
Gina Haspel is a 33-year veteran of the CIA. Despite opposition from John McCain and fellow Democrats, she’s on her way to getting confirmed as the first female CIA director in history, thanks to her nomination by President Trump.
Green Beret sniper Tim Kennedy wholeheartedly supports Haspel’s nomination, calling her an “amazing hero.” In 2016, Kennedy made headlines after receiving a barrage of death threats for his role in fighting radical Islamic terrorism.
While Kennedy said he gets death threats all the time from enemies of the United States, these threats were so menacing that the FBI investigated them. In response, Kennedy calmly quipped: “ISIS can send anybody they want as long as they don’t want them back.”
